BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 30, 2022) – Saturday night champions crowned at the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will go home with even bigger paychecks courtesy of IMCA.TV. On the heels of a $15,550 boost last September, the official broadcast partner of IMCA and Super Nationals adds another $25,500 to bonuses paid to Modified, Stock Car, Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock drivers at the upcoming Super Nationals Sept. 5-10 at Boone Speedway. The Modified champion will earn $10,000, with $7,500 paid to win the Stock Car main, $5,000 to win the Northern SportMod main and $3,000 to win the Hobby Stock main. Foulger, Pearce, Chadwick are IMCA winners at Antioch

By Candice Martin ANTIOCH, Calf. (Aug. 27, 2022) – Troy Foulger won the 20-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. This was the third win of the season for the multi-time champion aboard the Bowers Motorsports-owned Modified. Jeff Browne had a front row start and took the early lead ahead of Terry DeCarlo Sr. and Brian Cass. DeCarlo spun, collecting three others for a yellow flag. Browne led Foulger and Cass on the restart. Foulger was giving Browne lots of pressure until he made an inside pass on lap eight to gain the lead. Nick DeCarlo slipped past Browne for second and challenged Foulger the rest of the way. However, Foulger prevailed at the checkered flag. Boone tunes up for Prelude, Super Nationals

The Tune Up for the Super Nationals, the P1 Promotions Modified Challenge and the D & E Outside Services Watermelon Classic were all completed before 9 p.m. All heat and feature winners also raced for the well-known watermelon. The eighth annual P1P Challenge race for Friesen Performance OMCA Modifieds saw the drivers qualify through time trials and heat races. The top 12 then raced 15 laps for $1,000 and a unique trophy Johnathon Logue grabbed the lead from the outside front row as the race went green. Schram takes East Moline season championship night win

Working the steering wheel, he used the upper racing grooves and sped to the 25-lap IMCA Sunoco Late Model season championship feature win. “Wow, we really actually have struggled recently, but put a lot of work into this and here we are,” Schram said in victory lane. Unofficial track champion Jacob Waterman led from the pole until the Colona hotshoe lost control in turn four just a handful of laps from the checkered flag. He ended up fourth. “We had our ups and downs all year,” Waterman said. “We kept trying things on the car and it worked especially on the nights we won. Rookie rallies to US 36 Raceway checkers

(Aug. 26, 2022) – After a race that saw a little bit of everything, fans at US 36 Raceway saw rookie Greg Marrant in victory lane, celebrating his Friday night Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact win. The 4-cylinder feature saw speed, wheels flying off, smoke and action from green to checkers. Heat winner Jason Teel took the front and battled Brad Mick and Marrant as the three broke away from the field. Teel continued to lead until his right front wheel came off on turn four, bringing his hopes of a win to an early end. Marrant and Mick made contact, bringing out the yellow and sending both drivers to the rear on the ensuing restart. Payton Teel then took the lead only to see Marrant charge back by taking the lead and the win. Marrant celebrated in Nextran Victory Lane as Mick finished second and Teel third. Spahr grabs first IMCA RaceSaver win

(Aug. 27, 2022) – After a couple of close-but-not-quite finishes at Selinsgrove Speedway, Logan Spahr was due, and the second-year Pennsylvania Sprint Series driver collected that debt Saturday night by scoring his first IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car victory Saturday after a torrid duel with veteran Doug Dodson. Spahr took the lead from Tyler Snook on lap three after some side-by-side racing. Then, after a red flag for an incident involving Mike Melair, Austin Reed, and Justin Mills on the front stretch, Spahr lost the lead to Dodson, who had charged from eighth starting. Undaunted, Spahr went after Dodson and the two swapped the lead back and forth until Spahr adjusted his line to take away Dodson’s preferred line. With the race staying green for the last 17 circuits of the 20-lapper, traffic also became a factor, but Spahr handled that situation like a seasoned veteran. Season championship night at Marshalltown

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Aug. 26, 2022) – It was North 3rd Avenue Dairy Queen Larry Wollam Memorial and Season Championship night at the Marshalltown Speedway on Friday. Seven classes were in competition that provided a full night of racing action at the High Banks. There were out-of-car introductions of the drivers on the front stretch to allow the fans to show their appreciation to the drivers who entertained them all year long. The first eight in points in each class were locked in and they would start inverted for their feature. The rest of the field was filled in by their finishing order from heats. The first feature to hit the track was the IMCA STARS Mod Lites. Their feature went 15 laps and was led from start to finish by Cory Sonner.
