IMCA Modifieds chasing $4,000 top checks each night of Batesville’s Sept. 22-24 Race For Hope 71

BATESVILLE, Ark. (Sept. 14, 2022) – A lot of talent and a little luck could send one lucky driver home with as much as $13,000 from Batesville Motor Speedway’s September 22-24 Race For Hope 71. The new format for the sixth annual special, presented by IMCA.TV, sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds racing for $4,000 to win along with Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational eligibility each night Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the top driver in points for the three shows earning a $1,000 bonus. Runners-up each night get $2,000 with $1,250 for third and $1,000 for fifth. Qualifying for the feature pays a minimum of $400 and non-qualifier pay is $100. BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 10, 2022) – A season that’s seen more than its share of high points for Tom Berry Jr. saw its highest on Saturday, in the final race of the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. KENNEDALE, Texas (Sept. 10, 2022) – His strategy was simple, once Marcus Mikulencak got to the front of Saturday’s Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMod Super Nationals feature field. “I tried to stay smooth and not make any mistakes,” Mikulencak said after taking the $5,000 checkers in the inaugural event at Kennedale Speedway Park. “We were pretty good up front but I figured with the competition we had that we could have company up there.” Bradley Poor and Brandon Geurin both advanced seven spots to finish second and third, respectively. WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (Sept. 13, 2022) – Mod Lites of Arkansas return to Riverside International Speedway this Saturday, Sept. 7 for the inaugural $2,000 to win Mid-South Nationals. The IMCA STARS Mod Lites headline the evening program and the winner goes home with a specialty – and functional – Fender acoustic guitar trophy. The main event pays $200 to start with non-qualifiers getting $50. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, state and MLA points will be awarded. Engine auction adds $21,000 to Super Nationals main event purse

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 13, 2022) – The gavel came down four times as the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s Saturday night program concluded with the auction of champions’ engines. Stock Car champion Dallon Murty’s engine sold for $7,250, so each of the other 29 starters in that event got another $250 in addition to their posted purse shares. The engine of Northern SportMod champion Matt Looft hammered at $5,500. The other 29 drivers in that event get another $189.66. Modified champion Tom Berry Jr.’s engine sold for $5,200 so the other 32 starts in that race each get $162.50. And Zach Olmstead’s Super Nationals winning engine sold for $3,000. The other 29 qualifiers for the Hobby Stock feature get another $103.45. Berry, Looft and Olmstead each received new crate engines from the Karl Companies. Murty received an engine built by Midstate Machine. Elston beats rain to top IMCA Late Model Drive For 5 finale

By Brian Neal DONNELLSON, Iowa (Sept. 10, 2022) – Tommy Elston outran the rain and his IMCA Sunoco Late Model competition in winning Saturday’s Drive For 5 finale and $5,000 at Lee County Speedway. The Keokuk hotshoe held off Nick Marolf following a restart late in the Iowa Corn Growers Association Photo Daddy 50-lapper. Third was Andy Nezworski. C.J. Horn jumped out to the lead over Chris Lawrence and Darin Weisinger Jr. Elston, Matt Ryan, Nezworski, Dennis Woodworth and Marolf, who all started in the back half of the front ten, battled their way towards the front. Elston took over the runner-up spot on lap eight, then went to work on Horn for the lead. Horn continued to work the top of the track following a lap 12 restart while fending off Elston over the next 10 circuits. Selinsgrove hosts Pennsylvania Game Commission “Race To Hunting Season”

SELINSGROVE, Pa. (Sept. 12, 2022) – The Pennsylvania Sprint Series and Selinsgrove Speedway announced Race to Hunting Season, an exciting new event to be held Saturday, Sept. 17, featuring the PASS IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car division. Berry tops record 40^th IMCA Super Nationals with Modified crown

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 10, 2022) – Tom Berry Jr.’s run to the Modified championship brought the final checkers down on the record-setting week of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, when 1,000 cars brought 1,000 stars to Boone Speedway.
