Performance Distributors adds Late Models to IMCA award program

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Performance Distributors adds awards for Late Models to its contingency program with IMCA this season. The 2019 national champion and national rookie of the year both earn D.U.I. distributors while second through fifth place finishers in national point standings receive $50 product certificates. Track champions are in line for D.U.I. coil kits courtesy of the Memphis, Tenn., high performance parts manufacturer. Now in its 13th year as an IMCA sponsor, Performance Distributors has also renewed awards for IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod divisions. GUILFORD, Conn. – Moroso continues its support of drivers in seven IMCA divisions, giving product awards based on regional or national point standings again this season. The Guilford, Conn., company, in its 14th year of sponsorship, gives those awards as determined regional standings for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, and on national point standings for IMCA Late Models, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods. 281 Speedway starts new season with IMCA Big Chill Throwdown special

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Four IMCA divisions are on the card for both nights of 281 Speedway’s season-opening Big Chill Throwdown. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will be featured in Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9 shows. Modifieds race for $600 to win, Stock Cars and Southern SportMods both for $500 and Sport Compacts for $200 each night. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Texas State and track points will be awarded both nights. There is no entry fee. Pits open at noon on Friday with check-in running from 5 p.m. until the 7:15 p.m. drivers’ meeting. Fast Shafts qualifier slated Feb. 27 at LVMS Dirt Track

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win and a berth on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot at their Wednesday, Feb. 27 show at Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s half-mile Dirt Track. The feature pays a minimum of $75 to start with $50 paid to non-qualifiers. Entry fee is $25. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region and Nevada State points will be awarded. RACEceivers and transponders are required. World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and USAC Sprint Cars are also on the mid-week card. Center scores Sunday SportMod, Stock Car checkers at Canyon’s IMCA Winter Challenge

PEORIA, Ariz. (Jan. 26-27) – After a forgettable opening night, Cody Center had a Sunday to remember Sunday at Canyon Speedway Park’s Winter Challenge Series. A DNS in Saturday’s main event following two early tangles with another car in his heat race, Center started last but still earned his career-first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature win in the second day show at Peoria. AMES, Iowa – Special events drivers in three IMCA divisions are in the running again this season for awards from Bob Harris Enterprises.
