Jones masters traffic at Lincoln County

(Aug. 3) – Championship night played out in front of a packed house Saturday at Lincoln County Raceway.  Holding off all challenges, Cole Hodges captured the IMCA Modified feature after working his way into contention from a fifth row start position, taking the lead with just five laps remaining and then keeping David Murray Jr. at bay.  Jacob Olmstead led all but the opening circuit in winning another Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod main. Equally dominating, Casey Woken led all from the second lap on to earn the hard-fought IMCA Sunoco Stock Car victory with many heavy hitters trying unsuccessfully to catch up. Starting up front and staying up front, Zach Olmstead won the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature. Lonnie Lenser Jr. became the winner of the Mach-1 Sport Compact feature after the apparent top two finishers were disqualified in post-race tech.

(May 5) –Taking off like a rocket from the onset, Colton Osborn was a man on a mission as he led every lap of the IMCA Modified feature to record the Saturday victory at Lincoln County Raceway. Osborn worked through lap traffic with no issues at all. Coming to the podium from his fourth row starting position, Cole Hodges earned runner-up accolades. Taking advantage of an outside second row starting position, Zach Schultz rode the cushion into the lead on the fourth lap and never looked back in winning the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main. There were four different leaders in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. (April 24) – Getting the season started off on the right foot, the competition was fierce for top honors during the 2021 Lincoln County Raceway season opener on Saturday night. Earning elite accolades for their efforts to be spotlighted in victory lane were Dillon Schultz, Troy Bayne, Mikey Dancer, Tanner Clough and Ted Trumbo. Starting on the inside of the second row, Schultz grabbed the lead early and never look back to earn the IMCA Modified victory. Stalking Schultz much of the event was Brandon Clough as he tried to catfish around the low side of the track as well test the waters on the cushion but it was too little, too late and Clough was forced to settle for runner-up honors.  Don Geist was third. Taking full advantage of the great starting position, Bayne was the winner of the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature.
