BETHANY, Mo. (May 4) – Chris Wright found the right way around Bethany Speedway Saturday night, en route to the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature win. 

The field of 21 was slowed by just a single caution. R.J. Dishong took the front early only to see Wright roar past.

Wright continued to lead as Coleman Browning challenged both high and low but could not find a way around. As the only yellow flag of the feature flew, Colton Nelson used the restart to his advantage, got by Browning for second and set his sights on the leader.

Wright, however, went on to pick up the win with Nelson second and Browning third. 

Chad Clancy cruised to the IMCA Modified victory and Steve Starmer got the best of tenacious Carson Masoner for top IMCA Sunoco Stock Car honors.

Bethany Speedway opens with record numbers

(May 9) – The first race of the season at Bethany Speedway started off with rec­ord-setting numbers: More race cars in the pit area than has ever been, including the Northwest Missouri State Fair; the biggest count of fans that has attended Bethany Speedway since they reopened for regular racing in 2018; and drivers representing 12 different states from as far as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Arizona.  Feature wins went to Steven Bowers Jr. in the IMCA Modifieds, Tyler Drueke in the IMCA Rac­eSaver Sprint Cars, J.J. 10 states now represented at US 36, Bethany IMCA openers

OSBORN, Mo. – Opening night events this weekend at US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway bring IMCA drivers from across the nation to the Show-Me State. IMCA drivers from Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana join competitors from closer to home on season-opening cards Friday, May 8 at Osborn and Saturday, May 9 at Bethany. IMCA Modified, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod entries are also in hand from Colorado, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas, as well as Missouri.  “We’re expecting to get drivers from a couple more states, too. US 36, Bethany host $1,000 to win United Rebel Sprint Series shows

OSBORN, Mo. – Missouri speedplants US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway host first-ever appearances by the United Rebel Sprint Series this weekend, with $1,000 to win Budweiser Shootout shows on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5 programs. On Friday, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car competitors head to the Bud Shootout at US 36 Raceway in Osborn, where Mike Sosebee of Sosebee Motorsports has put up $400 for the winner of a pole dash for the top six heat race qualifiers. On Saturday, the series heads to Bethany for the bookend night of the weekend doubleheader.
