Career 100th IMCA Stock Car feature win also Vanover’s Eagle Raceway first

BEATRICE, Neb. – Kyle Vanover raced to two firsts and a 100th Saturday night. Berry among first-time winners at Boone

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 22) – It was another weekly racing series night Saturday at the Boone Speedway, with 146 cars checking into the pits. The defending IMCA Modified national champion, Tom Berry Jr., was in the house tonight, wheeling a brand new car. He hadn’t lost a step from his successful season last year either, as he sailed home to another win. He had to fight around early race leader Russ Dickerson, taking command just before the halfway mark of the event, and then distanced himself from the pack as the checkers flew. It was a hard fought battle behind Berry, with Nick Roberts taking second over 14th place starter Cory Sauerman, Joel Bushore and Dickerson. Brothers battle in IMCA Stock Car feature at Off Road

(May 22) – Saturday’s IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Off Road Speedway became a battle between Neligh’s Wilkinson brothers, Kyle and Cameron. Kyle moved quickly from the outside of the second row into the lead during the first lap and Cameron needed just four laps to find his brother’s rear bumper, even while navigating a group of cars often traveling three- and four-wide in the backstretch. “I knew he was there, I kept on seeing his nose,” Kyle said. “I was trying everything I could not to let him around me.” Cameron had his chances with four cautions during the race’s final 12 laps, but eventually followed Kyle to the checkered flag in second place. Murty’s mastery of the Bullring continues with $1,800 victory

VINTON, Iowa (May 23) – His nickname is the Game Changer, but the only thing changing lately is Dallon Murty’s win total. Murty scored his fourth consecutive feature win to open the season in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Albert Auto at the Benton County Speedway Bullring. ROCK SPRINGS, Wy. – Sweetwater Speedway’s Rudy Yeager Memorial brings three IMCA divisions to opening night at Rock Springs Friday and Saturday, May 28 and 29. Three Memorial Weekend Cornbelt Clash dates for IMCA STARS Mod Lites

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Memorial Weekend Cornbelt Clash dates take IMCA STARS Mod Lites to Marshalltown Speedway, Boone Speedway and Stuart Speedway for $500 to win features each night. A minimum of $100 will be paid to start each May 28, 29 and 30 feature with a $30 entry fee each night. Marshalltown opens the gates at 5:15 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
