Stuart’s Whole Hog IMCA Stock Car winner takes home $5,000

STUART, Iowa – The winner of Stuart Speedway’s Whole Hog 50 special for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars brings home the bacon May 30-31.

The inaugural special pays $5,000 and possibly a whole hog to win and a minimum of $400 to start. Heat races and qualifying features for Stock Cars are on Sunday, with all drivers making an ‘A’ main. Stock Cars will run heat races and last-chance qualifiers to fill the field on Memorial Day. 

Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying features for the IMCA Modifieds pay $1,000 to win on Sunday and $1,500 to win on Monday.

Top prize for the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods is $500 on Sunday and $750 on Monday. 

Sunday’s IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature pays $500 to win with Yoshimura bonuses of $250, $150 and $100 paid to top three finishing eligible drivers as well.

Mach-1 Sport Compacts race for $250 to win on Sunday while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $400 to win on Monday.

Purse amounts will increase with additional sponsor contributions.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, KMJ Performance State and track points will be awarded to Modified and Hobby Stock drivers, national, state and track points to SportMod, Mod Lite and Sport Compact drivers both days. Stock Car national, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, state and track points will be awarded.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. both days with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing to follow. Pit passes are $30. 

Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $8 for students and free for kids ages eight and under.

Sabin starts Stuart show with IMCA Sport Compact win

By Josh Reynolds                                                            STUART, Iowa (May 26) – Wednesday night brought 100 race cars and drivers to Stuart Speedway for IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing and feature winners for the night were Kolby Sabin, Brayton Carter, Dallon Murty, Tim Ward and Brandon Cox. First up were the Mach-1 Sport Compacts with Owen Richards and Mark Smith on the front row. Smith led the majority of the race but it was Sabin taking the lead coming to the white flag and driving off to the win. Smith finished in second with Curtis Masterson third, Craig Furstenau fourth and Tyler Fiebelkorn fifth. Walrod Memorial checkers to Kinderknecht

STUART, Iowa (July 24, 2023) – Monday brought the Clint Walrod Memorial for suicide awareness to the Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. IMCA winners for the night were Jake Paysen, Nick Roberts, Skylar Pruitt, Taylor Kuehl, Todd Shute and Justin Kinderknecht. Jake Paysen and David Kimmel paced the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts for the first two laps when the red flag flew for third place running Owen Richards as he got upside down in turn one. Richards was ok but his night was over. Once the green came back out it was all Paysen to the checkers as he took the win. Kolby Sabin finished second with Stephen Stiteler third, Kimmel fourth and Curtis Masterson fifth. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars came out next with Nick Roberts taking command early on. Meinecke scores Modified win at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 5) – Matthew Meinecke was the IMCA Modified winner on a warm Wednesday night at Stuart Speedway. Meinecke led Cory Sauerman and Josh Gilman when the first lap was scored; Gilman got to second on lap three with Clay Money giving chase. The top three stayed the same until Kyle Brown worked his way past Money on lap 18 for third. Gilman used the whole track to reel in the leader, but it was not to be as Meinecke went on to the win. Gilman finished second with Brown third.  Buck Schafroth was the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner, by a margin of less than a car length over Bran­don Pruitt. The race was for second as Garrett Nelson checked out early in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod contest.  Shannon Anderson worked his way through traffic en route to the lead and the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock checkers.
