Joe Crist Memorial is Friday at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – The biggest IMCA Sunoco Stock Car race of the season at US 36 Raceway is this Friday, July 30. The Crist Family and US 36 Raceway present the fifth annual Joe Crist Memorial, which pays $2,062 to win and makes the winning driver eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational. The main event pays a minimum of $125 to start and the longest haul is good for $162, with $62 paid for heat race wins, drawing the no. 62 chip, and hard luck award. The Crist Memorial is draw/redraw and the $35 pre-registration fee covers the driver’s pit pass. Many prizes will be given away at the drivers, meeting and throughout the night. Past winners of the event are Jason Estes in 2017, Blake Peeler in 2018, J.J. Baumli in 2019 and Steve Starmer in 2020.

Bullring Nationals slated for United Rebel Sprint Series

LaCROSSE, Kan. – Competitors with the Drive to Zero POWRI United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing are preparing for Rush County Speedway’s Bullring Nationals. The United Rebel Sprint Series will be in competition on Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31 atop the action-packed bullring located in LaCrosse, Kan. This race is always a favorite amongst drivers and fans as the action is non-stop on the ¼-mile Bullring. On Friday, July 30, hot laps will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the green flying over competition at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $15 for adults, kids ages 5-10 $5 and kids under five free. Ryan Peery sweeps IMCA Pacific SportMod Showdown

By Ben Deatherage WHITE CITY, Ore. (July 24) – Southern Oregon Speedway wrapped up the IMCA Pacific SportMod Showdown on Saturday for Dusty’s Transmission Night. The 40-lap, $2,500 to win feature had 41 Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods on hand. When the green flag flew for the main event, Travis Peery, took control of the top spot to lead the opening lap. However, it was a short-lived reign as his son Ryan, winner from the previous night at White City, seized control by lap three. Travis rebounded to edge out Ryan on lap four. Unfortunately, due to a caution, the pass was nullified, handing back the position to Ryan Peery. Six more stoppages were to be had for the rest of the race resulting in heavy lapped traffic being taken out of the picture but restarts even more critical. $1,000 to win feature for IMCA Modifieds at Thunderbird

MUSKEGON, Mich. – A $1,000 top prize and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility are on the line Saturday night for IMCA Modifieds at Thunderbird Raceway. The July 31 program is presented by JJ Motorsports. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m., with hot laps at 5 p.m. and racing at 6:15 p.m. Pit passes are $30 and spectator tickets will be available at the front gate. Willamette to host $5,000 to win IMCA Stock Car event on Aug. 21

The historic 1/3-mile clay oval will be hosting a $5,000 to win IMCA Sunoco Stock Car event along with a 100-lap, $1,500 to win IMCA Modified show. Both events will no doubt attract some top-tier talent to the Lebanon facility. The IMCA Modified 100-lapper was originally slated for July 24 but was pushed back to the August date. The winner of the Stock Car event becomes an automatic qualifier for the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational while the Modified winner becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway in September. Jones Racing Products backs five IMCA divisions

OTTSVILLE, Pa. – The Jones Racing Products awards program for five IMCA divisions has been renewed for a third season. The Ottsville, Pa., manufacturer again gives $50 product certificates to top five finishers in each of the five regions for IMCA Modifieds, and to the top five drivers in national point standings for IMCA Sunoco Late Models, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods. Reimers takes second Boone checkers of season

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (July 24) – It was Christmas in July at the Boone Speedway on Saturday night and Santa himself was there to greet the youngsters. Christmas music filled the air and decorations were around every corner. However, the 90 degree temperatures didn’t feel like the holiday season!The IMCA STARS Mod Lites kicked off feature racing. At the end of the 15-lap race, it was Mike Kennedy standing in victory lane for the third time this season. Kennedy started 10th and ran down leader Cory Sonner by lap eight, but it wasn’t until that final lap that he was able to make the pass in turn two and go home to secure the win. (July 24) – Although the heat index cleared 100 Saturday night, a good-sized crowd showed up to brave the temperatures at Eagle Raceway as Modern Real Estate and Empire Fencing and Netting presented Fan With A Can night. Double features were run since the previous week’s were interrupted by rain. Conn Communications provided all fans going into the grandstands a chance to take in the night’s racing action for only $3, with many fans taking advantage of the discounted prices. At the end of the night the great crowd on hand got to witness three drivers earn their first win of the season at the track, while two others continued their winning ways. Up first on the night was the Mach-1 Sport Compact feature, with Justin Stevenson and Patrick McKasson leading the field to green. Independence races to save lives with Iowa Donor Network Night show

Iowa Donor Network was on hand with info and for people to sign up as an organ donor. Drivers Prizes, Donation Honorees, Raffles, Prizes and Apparel for Sale plus the first 300 adults got a gift from Longhorn Steakhouse. A helmet and door signed by drivers auctioned off at Intermission along with a pass the helmet with all donations going to the Iowa Donor Network.
