Gomola Capitalizes on Late Shakeup for Clinton County Sprint Car Win

Mill Hall, Pa. (Apr. 24, 2026) — Jacob Gomola of Guys Mills, Pennsylvania, was victorious Friday in the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Clinton County Speedway, earning his first win of the 2026 season after starting third. Jeffrey Weaver and Matt Tebbs brought the field to the green flag, with Weaver taking the early lead. Tebbs, Gomola, Timmy Bittner, and Dale Schweikart rounded out the top five. A caution on lap six slowed the field when Austin Greenland stopped on the track. Weaver maintained the lead on the restart as the battle for second between Tebbs and Bittner intensified. On lap 14, the two made contact entering turn one, sending both cars flipping. Both drivers were able to walk away from the incident. Reed Scores First 2026 Win After Late-Race Shakeup at Grays Harbor

By Shaun Hulbert ELMA, Wash. (Apr. 25, 2026) — Brenton Schnitzer took the early lead with Devon Reed close behind in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature. Disaster struck on lap two when contact mid-pack sent Scott Miller spinning hard into the outside wall. Craig Moore slowed, and Jim Ragsdale collided with him, sending Moore into the infield. The incident ended the night for Miller and Ragsdale, among others, but Moore was able to keep moving before the red flag and retained his position. On the restart, Schnitzer continued to lead while a strong battle developed behind him. Zane Miner ran second, with Reed, Moore, and John Higgenbottom racing hard for fourth and fifth over several laps. A caution for debris slowed the field, and on the restart Reed worked past Miner for second. Richards Charges from Sixth to Win Shelby County Stock Car Opener

By Don Hawkins HARLAN, Iowa (Apr. 25, 2026) — Shelby County Speedway kicked off the 2026 season in grand style with opening night, overcoming threatening skies to deliver a full and exciting program, and the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars delivered one of the night’s most competitive features. Austin Meiners took the early lead but had plenty of company in pursuit. When it all settled, Braden Richards of Madrid charged from sixth to score his second win of 2026 in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, following an earlier victory at Boone Speedway on April 11. Miciah Hidlebaugh, who started seventh, finished second, followed by Meiners in third. Defending track champion Mike “Wahoo” Albertsen was fourth, with Bob Daniels rounding out the top five. Neal Returns from Retirement to Win Maquoketa Stock Car Thriller

By Jerry Mackey MAQUOKETA, Iowa (Apr. 25, 2026) — The 2026 racing season got underway Saturday night in grand style at the quick quarter-mile dirt track located on the Jackson County Fairgrounds at Maquoketa Speedway, and the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars delivered a classic feature as drivers raced three- and four-wide throughout the entire main event. Terry Neal came out of retirement to race one of Colton and Danielle Dirks’ Stock Cars, and the elder Neal showed he still has the ability to wheel a race car in fine fashion. Neal fought off constant challenges from Oshkosh, Wisconsin’s Pressley Harrington to score the win by less than a car length, his first of the year in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Blood Blazes from 10th to Dominate Skagit Modified Opener

(Apr. 25, 2026) — Tumwater’s Tyson Blood showed why he’s a five-time Washington State champion, racing from 10th to win the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified main event on opening night at Skagit Speedway. Blood found his groove on the high side, running a line all his own while chaos unfolded on the bottom. He powered into the lead at the halfway mark of the 25-lap feature and went unchallenged the rest of the way to score the victory. It was his first win of the season in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region. The race also served as a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier, putting Blood on the eligibility list to attempt to qualify for the event to be run at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September. Wood Family Makes History as CJ Speedway Opens the 2026 Racing Season

By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (Apr. 24, 2026) — The 2026 racing season got underway Friday night at CJ Speedway, and the Wood family from Sigourney made racing history as the father-son duo of Nathan and Brayden each scored feature victories. Nathan captured the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event, while Brayden topped the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature, making for a memorable opening night. The first main event of the evening was the IMCA Hobby Stock feature. Brayden Wood, in only his second full year of racing, started from the outside front row and immediately took command, with accomplished racer Daniel Wauters in hot pursuit. The two put on an entertaining battle, as Wauters pulled alongside Wood several times late in the race. Heffner Takes Delayed Port Royal Feature

(Apr. 18, 2026) — Kenny Heffner added to his reputation as one of Port Royal Speedway’s most reliable front-runners in the River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series by taking the 20-lap make-up feature Saturday from April 4. Heffner fought off a determined Jarrett Cavalet to win the Penns Valley Meat Market feature that had been rained out two weeks ago. It was his fifth career win at the “Speed Palace,” a track just over an hour south of his Watsontown home. Heffner lined up fourth on the grid for the race—he had been a heat race winner for the event on April 4—with Cavalet, from Hollidaysburg, taking the early lead. Drew Young Tops Selinsgrove

(Apr. 17, 2026) — Former rodeo competitor Drew Young of Beaver Springs scored his second Selinsgrove Speedway victory, and fifth of his career, Friday night in the 20-lap River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series feature at the big Snyder County oval. Young, the track’s 2025 Sportsmanship Award winner, inherited first place on lap two when Dustin Young of Danville, no relation, blew his engine after taking the early lead. Drew Young then held off several challenges from 2025 PASS and Selinsgrove Rookie of the Year Chris Dolan of York to win by 0.183 seconds. Drew Young was runner-up in the PASS season standings last year. He joined the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car tour as a regular in 2021 after a four-race trial the year before and scored his first series win in 2023. (Apr. 18, 2026) — A scorching April afternoon set the stage in the valleys of North Carolina as 16 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars rolled into Friendship Motor Speedway for the Carolina Sprint Tour’s first appearance at the facility since 2021. The night opened with Radical Race Gear hot laps, where Pennsylvania’s Trevor Gach continued his early-season speed streak. Piloting the Carber Racing entry, Gach topped the charts for the second consecutive event with a blistering lap of 15.186 seconds. Heat race action proved eventful. Matthew Wall went for a tumble in turn three, bringing a collective pause from the crowd—fortunately, he emerged unharmed. Cooper Cruises to First SportMod Win of Season at Marysville

(Apr. 18, 2026) — The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods continued their resurgence in car count at Marysville Raceway, with 16 competitors signing in for championship point race number five. A familiar name dominated the 20-lap feature, as Yuba City’s Todd Cooper started on the front row and led every lap without issue. Cooper, teaming with the Shelby family, piloted the No. 86 to a commanding victory.
