May paces two-day points for Mod Lite Cornbelt Clash

STUART, Iowa – Josh May totaled 77 points to earn the two-day Cornbelt Clash crown for IMCA STARS Mod Lites. After opening night on May 28 at Marshalltown Speedway was lost to inclement weather, May ran second to Joe Glick the next night at Boone Speedway and third Sunday at Stuart Speedway behind Justin Kinderknecht and Kaden Cochrun. On top of purse shares, May received a trophy and $100 for his Cornbelt Clash efforts, along with a Hoosier tire certificate after passing 19 cars to collect hard charger honors on Sunday. Heat winners on Saturday were May, Glick, Mike Kennedy and Bryan Zehm. The “B” winner was Cory Sonner, who also got the Hoosier hard charger tire certificate after passing 16 cars in the main . US 36, Bethany host $1,000 to win United Rebel Sprint Series shows

OSBORN, Mo. – Missouri speedplants US 36 Raceway and Bethany Speedway host first-ever appearances by the United Rebel Sprint Series this weekend, with $1,000 to win Budweiser Shootout shows on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5 programs. On Friday, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car competitors head to the Bud Shootout at US 36 Raceway in Osborn, where Mike Sosebee of Sosebee Motorsports has put up $400 for the winner of a pole dash for the top six heat race qualifiers. On Saturday, the series heads to Bethany for the bookend night of the weekend doubleheader. IMCA Late Models headline Friday Doc Palmer Memorial at Boone County

ALBION, Neb. – A $1,045 top check and $500 hard charger prize are at stake for IMCA Sunoco Late Models on June 4, at Boone County Raceway’s Doc Palmer Memorial. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both run for $600 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $400 to win Friday night. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. The event is draw/redraw in all divisions. Adult grandstand tickets purchased online are $10. KMJ Performance IMCA State Championship battles heat up

STORY CITY, Iowa (June 2) – KMJ Performance continues in year two as the title sponsor of the IMCA State Champions program, and battles are heating up in each state. As part of their sponsorship, KMJ has pledged one of three options to each state champion in the IMCA Late Model, Sprint Car, Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod, Southern SportMod, Sport Compact and Mod Lite divisions. Southern Oregon Speedway roars back to life

Since then, the facility had laid dormant and quiet as a tomb. But that all changed as a new era of racing began on Saturday, May 29, as the White City clay oval roared back to life and IMCA feature wins belonged to Craig Cassell and Jorddon Braaten. Craig Cassell made the tow all the way from Albany well worth it as he mastered the IMCA Modified field for his first win at SOS. Nick Trenchard was second followed by Albert Gill in third. Registration starts today for IMCA Dakota Classic Tour

MANDAN, N.D. – Online registration starts later today (Wednesday) for the Corral Sales IMCA Dakota Classic Tour. IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car competitors can go to the drivers tab on www.dakotamodtour.com website to complete the registration process and secure their number. New this year is a $25 entry fee that will be refunded in cash the first night drivers race on the 32nd annual tour. All six Modified features pay $2,000 to win and are qualifying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Stock Car features pay $1,000 with winners becoming eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star race. Opening night is Saturday, July 10 at Jamestown Speedway. Big money, big trophies at Dodge City’s Boot Hill Championship

By Whitney Hodgin DODGE CITY, Kan. – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car and IMCA Modified feature winners can look forward to bonus payouts this weekend due to the joined efforts of the WaKeeney Speedway, Autumn Acres Pumpkin Farms and Dodge City Raceway Park. The DCRP Sprint Car feature winner will receive an additional $500 to the usual $1,000 paycheck thanks to the new promoter of the WaKeeney Speedway, Kyler Fetters. Mini Mod Challenge Saturday for Mod Lites of Arkansas

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – The Mod Lites of Arkansas make their return to Riverside International Speedway this Saturday, June 5 for the fourth annual Mini Mod Challenge presented by Rays Automotive. One of the crown jewel events for IMCA STARS Mod Lites, the Mini Mod Challenge pays $500 to win. Four heat race winners and the top four in passing points will run a pole dash, then the front row starters will be offered the challenge of starting at the tail and racing for $1,000 to win. The challenge has been accepted and several drivers have come close, but not won from the tail. A great car count is expected for the Saturday show. Pit passes are $30, entry fee is $15 and transponders are $10. Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-11 and free for five and under. Cinderella-type weekend sees Norris race to career 100th IMCA Modified win

SEARCY, Ark. – Mark Norris was so discouraged by his lack of success in his first IMCA Modified season that he thought about quitting. After the wins and track championships did start to come, he stepped away from dirt track racing for an unheard of dozen seasons to focus on building his Snap-On Tools franchise. Seven years later, on a Friday night at Legit Speedway Park, Norris became the first driver from Arkansas, and the 62nd in division history to reach the 100 career win mark. “It was like a Cinderella weekend,” said Norris, from Searcy and the winner on May 28, opening night of the Scrappin’ 40 special at West Plains. “We brought campers and stayed.
