Silver Bay, MN (JUNE 1, 2015) – After a very successful sponsorship campaign with the “New Blood, Long Tow” at the 2014 Kupper Chevrolet Dakota Mod Tour ,officials at RACEFEEDX (formerly XSAN) and IMCA.TV have upped the ante by offering another spot for the 2015 tow money campaign. The 2015 RACEFEEDX “New Blood, Long Tow” presented by IMCA.TV will fund six new drivers that have never competed on the Kupper Chevrolet Dakota Classic Modified Tour and grant each driver $500 in tow money to offset the cost of traveling to follow the series of races in North Dakota and Canada. Kossuth County hosts IMCA North Star Touring Series on Thursday

ALGONA, Iowa (June 1) – IMCA’s North Star Touring Series makes its first venture outside the State of Minnesota, when Kossuth County Speedway hosts the June 4 show. Touring IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts race at Algona on Thursday evening. All applicable points, including special series points, will be awarded. They’ll be joined by IMCA Late Models running for IMCA Speedway Motors National and Allstar Performance State points. Pit gates and the grandstand both open at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Pit passes are $25. Grandstand admission is $10. Alvarado has 2,000 reasons to celebrate after sweep at Diamond Mountain special

VERNAL, Utah (May 29-30) – The success Ricky Alvarado enjoyed at Diamond Mountain Speed­way over the course of his Wild West Tour career carried over to a pair of weekend Racing For A Reason Rumble victories. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified victories Friday and Saturday at Vernal were each worth $1,000 plus lap money. “I don’t know what it is about Diamond Mountain,” admitted Alvarado, a six-time winner when the Wild West Tour visited. “It’s a fun little track that fits my driving style.” Alvarado started outside pole in Friday’s 20-lapper and had the lead before sliding high and fall­ing back to fourth. He found the line at the top of the track, ran side-by-side with Justen Yeager for two circuits and then eked ahead on the last lap, winning by a car length. Ware sprints to Dixieland checkers

(May 29) – Chris Ware showed he had a fast car early Friday at Dixieland Speedway, winning the Virginia Sprint Series feature at the same track his father Charlie had won at a year earlier. Carl Simmons and Ware paced the field of touring IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars to green. Ware moved up to the sticky cushion and set sail, leaving Simmons to fight it out with Tony and Jerald Harris. Jerald Harris made it through and took off after Ware as the laps clicked off. Daren Bolac was worked his way up to third. With five laps to go, the front three cars were running with traffic. Ware stayed with his high line while Jerald Harris ducked low as the white flag waved. Thompson tops PASS feature at Selinsgrove 

SELINSGROVE, Pa. (May 24) – Reed Thompson was the the flag-to-flag leader of the final holiday weekend Pennsylvania Sprint Series feature, Sunday at Selinsgrove Speedway. Thompson started from the pole and was chased by third starting Jordan Thomas all 20 laps of the IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Car event. Thomas raced in Thompson’s shadow every time around the track but never got the opportunity to make a pass for the lead. At the checkered flag, Thompson was victorious by just .92 of a se­cond over Thomas, Bill Jones, Stephanie Stevens and Erin Statler. Feature results –

Reeser wins again in PASS at Port Royal

PORT ROYAL, Pa. (May 23) – Tyler Reeser led the distance in Saturday’s 25-lap Pennsylvania Sprint Series main event at Port Royal Speedway. Erin Statler gave up the second spot to Jeff Miller on the fourth lap, but got the position back and mounted a challenge for the lead after a lap 11 restart. However, Reeser stretched it out to the checkers and Statler was forced to settle for second. Nathan Gramley, Scott Ellerman and Zach Newlin rounded out the top five. Brad Sites is best in Empire State Series at Skyline 

CORTLAND, N.Y. (May 24) – Brad Sites put himself in good position to capitalize on Matt Cole’s bad luck in Sunday’s IMCA Empire State Series main event at Skyline Raceway. Sites worked his way from 10th starting in the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature to se­cond, trailing only Matt Cole when the leader coasted to a stop on the 22nd of 30 laps. After taking over the point for the restart, Sites led to the finish for his career third series win and first-ever Skyline victory. “I knew I had some work to do after starting 10th and was really able to start picking off cars about mid­way,” he said. “I’d finished second and third at Skyline before and it’s good to finally get a win there.” He held off a late-race challenge from eventual runner-up Jason Benjamin. Bob Valencia named Wild West Modified Speedweek race director 

By Ben Deatherage WHITE CITY, Ore. – Bob Valencia has been named race director for the 2015 Wild West Modi­fied Speedweek. Touring IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds vie for $1,000 to win at seven events during the June 13-20 Speedweek. “I’m super excited,” said Valencia, race director at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash., for 15 years. “I really enjoy the Modifieds and the people that are involved with the teams. These guys are serious about racing but know how to fun at the same time.” Valencia brings considerable experience to the tour, especially when it comes to officiating big events such as the annual Shipwreck Beads Northwest Modified Nationals.
