IMCA Speedweek starts with rich Hawkeye Dirt Tour show at Clay County

SPENCER, Iowa – The first Hawkeye Dirt Tour event at Clay County Fair Speedway will also be one of the top-paying races in the six-plus season history of the series for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds. Winner of the Monday, Aug. 8 feature earns $5,000. Hahn Roofing of Spencer and the Clay County Fair both added money to the purse to make the winner’s check the biggest of the 2016 tour. First at Flomaton pays $1,000 to IMCA Modified tour winner

FLOMATON, Ala. – Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win when the Bay Area Emerald Coast Tour is at Flomaton Speedway this Saturday. The Aug. 6 show is part of the Jarrod Jones Memorial program and is a qualifying event for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Entry fee is $35. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region, Allstar Performance State and special series points will be awarded. Harken Memorial set for Saturday at Kossuth County

ALGONA, Iowa – Kossuth County Speedway’s Saturday, Aug. 6 Gary Harken Memorial does double duty as a cancer awareness night and driver appreciation night. Money raised during the evening will benefit the Kossuth County Cancer Support Foundation, which serves cancer patients and their families. All Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact drivers will receive free pit passes. The grandstand opens at 4 p.m. and the pit gate opens at 5 p.m. The drivers’ meeting is at 6:45 p.m. with racing to follow. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults and free for 14 and under. The Thursday, Aug. 4 county fair show features $1,000 to win main events for the Modifieds, Stock Cars and hobby Stocks, and a $1,200 to win main event for the Northern SportMods.

Two events added to Sprint Series of Oklahoma schedule

Sprint Series of Oklahoma adds two dates OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Officials with the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesaver Series are proud to announce two additions to the inaugural 2016 schedule. The first schedule addition will see the tour make its second appearance of the season at Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker on Saturday, Aug. 27. When the series last visited the ¼-mile, red-clay oval back on April 23 it was Jake Martens picking up the victory over a 19-car field. Also added will be a return trip to Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada on Saturday, Sept. 24. This event is tentatively slated to be the season-ending point race for the series, pending a Sept. 25 addition. Fairmont Raceway to host Cellan Motorsports Shootout

FAIRMONT, Minn. – Fairmont Raceway’s Friday, Aug. 5 Cellan Motorsports Summer Shootout presented by IMCA.TV boasts a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying feature for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds. A minimum of $1,000 will be paid to win and $175 to start the Modified main event. Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $750 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $525 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $400 to win. Among the race sponsors contributing to the purse are the Southern Minnesota Area Corn Growers and Wilmont Oil. Payouts in all divisions will be increased as additional contributions are received. There are no entry fees for the draw/redraw show. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State but no local track points will be given. KRA Speedway fair special features three IMCA divisions

WILLMAR, Minn. – KRA Speedway brings in three IMCA sanctioned divisions to headline the Kandiyohi County Fair special on Wednesday, Aug. 10. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $500 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $375 to win and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $300 to win that evening in Willmar. Rules in place for Princeton and Brainerd will be in effect. “We wanted to bring in something different this year,” said Promoter Jason McCoy, who anticipates that a solid number of regulars at IMCA tracks in the area will enter the midweek show. “I think we’re going to knock the socks off this thing.” IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be given in all three divisions. LaSALLE, Ill. – More money is on the line when three IMCA divisions return to LaSalle Speedway for the second annual One Night Stand special on Saturday, Aug. 6. IMCA Late Models race for $3,000 to win, Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both for $2,000. The Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Dodge City Raceway Park into the home stretch

Including Friday’s Driver Appreciation Night special, only three nights of championship chase action remain for the track’s featured divisions of Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. The only point race action that remains after Friday is the third annual SportMod Mayhem event on Aug. 27 and the season-ending Jerry Soderberg Memorial Championship on Sept. 24. Attention shifts first to Friday’s Driver Appreciation Night card that fires off at 7:30 p.m. While a large number of free tickets to Friday’s card will be distributed by drivers, additional tickets will be available at the gate for $15 for adults with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. URSS readies for inaugural Ernie DiCroce Memorial

BYERS, Colo. – The 2016 URSS IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series will invade Colorado Motorsports Park Saturday night, July 30 for the inaugural Ernie DiCroce Memorial. Gates open at 5 p.m. with a concert by School Of Rock. Races kick off at 7 p.m. A stellar field of drivers from Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma will be ready to hit the clay once again as they shoot it out for the top prize.
