Iowa Governor’s Cup returns to Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Davenport Speedway hosts the Iowa Governor’s Cup, the official stock car championship of the State of Iowa, this Friday, Sept. 22. The premier class will be IMCA Modifieds racing for $5,000 to win. This will be the largest Modified purse in the history of the race track and the winner earns a berth of the 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot as well. Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods run for a $2,000 top prize. All racing will be on the quarter-mile oval and there are no entry fees for the draw/redraw show. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded in both divisions. Modifieds also earn Side Biter Chassis North Central Region points. Hot laps are at 6:15 p.m. and racing is at 6:45 p.m. Twenty-four cars will start each IMCA feature. Snake River Roundup this weekend at Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho – The Snake River Stock Car Association is proud to present the Snake River Roundup on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22 and 23 at Idaho Falls Raceway. IMCA Modifieds will race 30 lap features for $1,000 guaranteed to win both nights with a minimum 10-car field. IMCA SportMods will race 20 lap features for $500 guaranteed to win both nights with a minimum 10-car field. It will be draw/redraw both nights for the Modifieds and SportMods. Entry fees are $50 per night for car and driver. Pit passes are $20. RACEceivers and transponders are mandatory in all divisions.

IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods on Stampede card at Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The 46th annual Stock Car Stampede at Jamestown Speedway will be the first to feature both IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Modifieds race for $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start at the Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22 and 23 Stampede, along with a berth of the 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Deery Series heads to West Liberty for $5,000 to win Liberty 100 finale

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – The final Deery Brothers Summer Series checkers of the season fly this weekend at West Liberty Raceway. The 21st annual Ideal Ready Mix Liberty 100 program is also the final event IMCA Late Model drivers can vie for IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points. Season championship night at Arlington honors Schoknecht

ARLINGTON, Minn. – The Saturday, Sept. 23 season championship night program at Arlington Raceway will be in honor of Scott Schoknecht. Schoknecht, from Belle Plaine, was very instrumental in helping many drivers with his unselfish knowledge in setting up race cars. Friends have collected donations from almost 40 individuals and businesses to add to the purse for the IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Both features will be $1,500 to win, $800 for second, $500 for third, $300 for fourth and $200 for fifth through 24th place. Septemberfest at Beatrice features five IMCA divisions

BEATRICE, Neb. – Five IMCA divisions are featured at Beatrice Speedway’s season-ending Septemberfest special this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22-23. IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win their opening night qualifier, with the top four finishers locked into Saturday’s $2,000 to win main event. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central Region and Allstar Performance State points, as well as a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot bid, are at stake on Saturday. YREKA, Calif. – IMCA Modifieds race for $2,000 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for a top prize of $1,000 at Siskiyou Motor Speedway’s Saturday, Sept. 23 Rod Restad Memorial. Championship Night is Saturday at Canyon

By Rowdy Briggs PEORIA, Ariz. – It has been a long season at Canyon Speedway Park but it all comes down to Championship Night Saturday in the four IMCA divisions that compete regularly at the Arizona speedplant. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Arizona Differential IMCA Northern SportMods and the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks will be crowning their champions. Admission is $15 for adults. Seniors 60 and over and military are $12 and children 11 and under are free. All-access pit passes can be purchased for $35 for adults while kids ages 7-11 are $20 and 6 years and under are free. Stief takes MASS point lead to Grandview

Stief, a two-time feature winner this season, is the current point leader as MASS heads to Grandview Speedway this Friday, Sept. 15.
