Salem Memorial highlights weekend for United Rebel Sprint Series

STOCKTON, Kan. – The United Rebel Sprint Series braces for a huge, three-race weekend with the annual Bob Salem Memorial highlighting all the race action.

It all begins Friday, Aug. 17 at Stockton Speedway before embarking to Oberlin Speedway Satur­day and Sunday, Aug. 18-19.

It will be a pivotal weekend for the series points standings as just five events remain in the 2018 race season.

Friday night’s IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event atop the Stockton Fairgrounds will pay $700 to win. Gates open at 5 p.m. with race action slated for a 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday night for the annual running of the Bob Salem Memorial, the Saturday night’s portion of the event will pay $700 to win while Sunday night pays $1,000 to win. Grand­stand admission is $15 for adults, kids ages 7-12 are $8 and children six and under admitted into the grandstands for free. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
