Ice Breakers take BST Series to Phillips County, I-76

HOLYOKE, Colo. (April 7) – Three Blood, Sweat and Tears series, including the inaugural tour for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, see their first action of the new race season during April 12 and 13 Ice Breaker events at Phillips County Raceway and I-76 Speedway. The Precise Racing Series for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, Addiction Chassis Series for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Leary Racing Products Series for the Northern SportMods travel to Holyoke on Saturday and to Fort Morgan on Sunday. Phillips County starts racing at 5 p.m. Saturday and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks are also on the program. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids and free for youngsters five and under. Denison Deery canceled, IMCA Late Model tour opens at Davenport April 11

DENISON, Iowa (April 3) – The Saturday, April 5 Deery Brothers Summer Series event at Craw­ford County Speedway in Denison has been canceled. What was to have been opening night for the 28th annual tour for IMCA Late Models became a casualty of a forecast that can best be summarized as cold and rainy with the potential for freezing precipitation as well. The race will not be rescheduled. IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars were also to have made their Iowa debut Saturday at Crawford County. Davenport Speedway will host the series lidlifter with a Friday, April 11 feature that pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Test ‘n tune sessions this Saturday at Sunset Park, Cottage Grove, Willamette

By Ben Deatherage BANKS, Ore. – A busy weekend of test ‘n tune sessions is on tap for this Saturday, April 5 at three IMCA sanctioned tracks in Oregon. Practice starts at 2 p.m. at Sunset Speedway Park in Banks and at Cottage Grove Speedway. A car show begins at noon and runs ‘til 3 p.m. with cars on display in front of the pit sign-in area at Willamette. Practice starts at 4 p.m. in Lebanon.

Lee County Speedway opens Saturday with Calvin Meyer benefit

DONNELLSON, Iowa – Opening night for all five weekly IMCA divisions, along with a special visit to Lee County Speedway in Donnellson by the Sprint Invaders has been moved to Saturday, April 5 The show originally scheduled for Friday night begins with hot laps at 5:15 p.m. and racing at 6 p.m. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for $500 to win and a minimum of $100 to start. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods now race for $350 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $150. DONNELLSON, Iowa – The 2014 IMCA race season gets underway on both sides of the Mississippi River this weekend. Five sanctioned divisions are in action Friday, April 4 at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson for the first weekly event in the Belleville Motor Sports North Central Region. Sprint Invaders are also on the card, along with IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Deery Series destined for Denison in 2014 opener

DENISON, Iowa (March 26) – The Deery Brothers Summer Series ends an absence of nearly 20 years when the 2014 tour opens on Saturday, April 5 at Crawford County Speedway. The IMCA Late Model series made its one and only appearance at Denison back on July 28 of 1994. Late Models will be paired with IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars for their much-anticipated return engagement. The main event pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Willamette Speedway hosts April 5 car show

By Ben Deatherage LEBANON, Ore. – Want to see your favorite race cars displayed right before your very eyes? How about seeing all these drivers on the race track shaking down their mounts? How about all of this all in one day? That’s right, you will see both a car show and a test and tune play date all in one afternoon/evening at Willamette Speedway on Saturday, April 5. The car show will start at noon and last until around 3 p.m. with cars being displayed in the gravel area across from the pit sign-in building. Teams will then be allowed to take their car back into the pit area and get their machines ready for the test and tune session. This session is expected to last from 4 p.m. until dusk. Folks wanting to watch the practice from the main grandstands get in for free while pit passes are $15 and car and driver fees are just $30. Drivers prepare for Antioch Speedway opener March 15

ANTIOCH, Calif. – Racers will be turning wrenches and cleaning cars late into the night this week to prepare for opening night at Antioch Speedway. The Contra Costa Fairgrounds 3/8-mile banked clay oval has an exciting schedule kicked off by a six-division program on Saturday night, March 15. Champion Troy Foulger, 23, of Martinez will return to competition at his home track driving the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified owned by Oakley’s Billy Bowers. Foulger has an unprecedented four straight track championships and the Bowers car has seven – three with its previous driver, Kenny Neu. The Foulger-Bowers duo returned from a rough season-opening race this past Saturday in Chico, Calif. They chased friendly Oakley foe Kellen Chadwick across the finish line.
