Two features for IMCA Modifieds this weekend at Arizona Speedway special

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. – Two feature events for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds are on the card this holiday weekend during Arizona Speedway’s second annual John Morris Classic.

The Saturday, May 24 feature at Apache Junction pays $750 to win while first place on Sunday, May 25 is good for $1,000 and a spot on the ballot for the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational.
Minimum start money is $75. Pill draw is $10 each night. Free camping will be available and T-shirt giveaways are in the works both nights.

Pure Stocks, X-Mods, Robert Horne Ford Bombers and Lady Stocks are also on the weekend programs.

All visiting Modified and X-Mod drivers are asked to make sure their car has the approved 78 series Schoenfeld muffler for this event. This is the only muffler that can be used.
Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $5 for kids and free for six and under.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and mandatory drivers’ meetings start at 6 p.m. Racing action will begin at 7:30 p.m. sharp both nights with Arizona’s top drivers all gunning for the increased prize money and the 2014 points championship.

Arizona Speedway is located within ET Motopark four miles south of US Highway 60 on Ironwood Drive, just five minutes from Mesa.
