Sproul Sweeps Modifieds at WaKeeney’s Christmas City Clash

(Apr. 25, 2026) — Dakota Sproul completed a dominant weekend sweep in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, leading the way in Saturday’s twenty-lap feature at WaKeeney Speedway’s Christmas City Clash. Starting alongside Dalton Murphy on the front row, Sproul quickly jumped to the early advantage and remained in control while Tanner Black, Clay Money, and Daniel Gottschalk all applied pressure throughout the event. A repeat of Friday’s feature with roles reversed developed as Sproul worked through lapped traffic with second place closing in. After using a last-lap pass to win Friday night, Sproul held off Money on Saturday to secure his first two wins of 2026 in the Jet Racing Central Region, a strong rebound after not finishing either night of the Sunflower Classic at RPM Speedway in Hays. Richards Charges from Sixth to Win Shelby County Stock Car Opener

By Don Hawkins HARLAN, Iowa (Apr. 25, 2026) — Shelby County Speedway kicked off the 2026 season in grand style with opening night, overcoming threatening skies to deliver a full and exciting program, and the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars delivered one of the night’s most competitive features. Austin Meiners took the early lead but had plenty of company in pursuit. When it all settled, Braden Richards of Madrid charged from sixth to score his second win of 2026 in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, following an earlier victory at Boone Speedway on April 11. Miciah Hidlebaugh, who started seventh, finished second, followed by Meiners in third. Defending track champion Mike “Wahoo” Albertsen was fourth, with Bob Daniels rounding out the top five. Kaplan Delivers Last-Lap Heroics in Marshalltown Stock Car Opener

By Kaden Krebs MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 24, 2026) — Racing roared back to life at Marshalltown Speedway Friday night as drivers and fans alike shook off a long offseason and uncooperative spring weather. In the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, Austin Kaplan of Collins executed a thrilling last-lap pass off turn four to narrowly edge Johnny Spaw at the stripe. Kaplan started 11th and scored his first win of the year in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Spaw had been under constant pressure throughout the race from a hard-charging field that included Braden Richards and Maguire DeJong, with a late caution involving DeJong adding even more late-race drama. Oliver Wins Thrilling Stock Car Race at Independence

By Christine Rublack INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (Apr. 21, 2026) — A Tuesday night full of exciting racing at Independence Motor Speedway saw John Oliver Jr. take home the victory by the smallest margin of the night in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, edging Kodey Miles by just 0.051 seconds. Kodey Miles took the lead early, with Tanner Allen and Tom Schmitt in pursuit. Oliver began working the low groove as the duo in front of him battled for second. Schmitt moved into second while Oliver continued to work underneath him. With a couple laps to go, Oliver closed in on Miles for the top position and, as the checkers waved, took the win. Merchant Storms from 16th to Capture Park Jefferson Modified Feature

By Chance Riley JEFFERSON, S.D. (Apr. 16, 2026) — The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds were the stars of the show Thursday night at Park Jefferson Speedway with a thrilling 20-lap main event. For most of the race, it was a two-car battle for the lead between Shane DeMey and Brian Mahlstedt. But on the white flag lap, charging down the front stretch, R.J. Merchant of South Sioux City, Nebraska stormed from his 16th starting position to steal the win—despite a bent suspension. It was Merchant’s first victory of the year in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. DeMey finished second ahead of Duke Erickson, while Mahlstedt and Ricky Stephan completed the top five. Laney Charges Late to $2,000 Eagle Icebreaker Modified Victory

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (Apr. 18, 2026) — The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds closed out the final night of the Icebreaker Challenge at Eagle Raceway on Saturday with $2,000 on the line. Josh Most led early, followed by Jared Eckrich and Jace Whitt, while Cody Laney quickly moved into contention and climbed to second by lap four. A series of restarts shuffled the running order as Jaxon Saathoff and Jordan Grabouski entered the mix. Laney and Saathoff traded the runner-up position before Laney powered to the lead with eight laps remaining. Behind him, Grabouski and Shawn Harker battled for position as the laps wound down. Laney held strong over the closing circuits to secure the win, followed by Most, Saathoff, Grabouski, and Harker. Ratzlaff Husband and Wife Duo Take Podium Spots in Phillips County Season Opener

(Apr. 11, 2026) — Matthew Ratzlaff of Monte Vista led every lap to victory in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature in front of the biggest crowd Phillips County Raceway has seen in over seven years during the season opener. Sobbing Holds Off Late Charge for Thrilling IMCA Late Model Win at Park Jefferson

(Apr. 10, 2026) — The Sunoco IMCA Late Models set the tone for the night at Park Jefferson Speedway, with Jesse Sobbing of Malvern, Iowa taking the early lead from Jordan Krug. Sobbing paced the field but had to withstand a last-lap slider attempt from Zach Zeitner, holding on at the line for his first Late Model win of the year and his second Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly victory of 2026, following a Sunoco IMCA Stock Car score during the Beatrice Spring Nationals.
