Laris Motorsports Insurance Debuts at IMCA Super Nationals

VINTON, Iowa (July 24, 2026) — Racers attending the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will have a new resource available throughout America’s Racing Vacation as Laris Motorsports Insurance makes its debut as an event partner.

Located in South Louisiana, Laris Motorsports Insurance will serve as the title sponsor of the Super Nationals Studio Show while also presenting the daily Laris Motorsports Insurance Hard Luck Award, which will provide a $250 cash award to the first driver who suffers a rollover during competition each day.

Representatives from Laris Motorsports Insurance will also be on-site throughout the week inside the registration tent, where racers and teams can learn more about the company’s specialized motorsports insurance programs.

“We’re excited to be part of Super Nationals,” said Bailey Dufrene, Vice President of Laris Motorsports Insurance. “For us, this is about much more than having a booth. It’s an opportunity to educate racers about risks they may not realize exist until it’s too late. Over the past several years we’ve helped thousands of drag racers understand where those gaps exist, and now we’re excited to bring that same education and protection to the circle track and road course communities.”

Since launching in 2019, the company has specialized in insurance designed specifically for racing. After establishing itself in drag racing, Laris Motorsports Insurance expanded into circle track and road course racing in late 2025.

“We launched with drag racing in 2019, and after years of development we expanded into circle track and road course racing last December,” Dufrene said. “The response has been incredible, and we’re excited to continue helping racers understand their coverage before they’re ever faced with a claim.”

Unlike many insurance policies that weren’t built with racing in mind, Laris Motorsports Insurance focuses on protecting the entire racing operation while addressing many of the coverage gaps racers commonly encounter.

“The biggest misconception we see is that having an insurance policy means you’re properly covered,” Dufrene said. “The reality is many racers don’t discover the gaps in their coverage until they’re standing on the side of the highway after a loss.”

One of the most common examples, Dufrene said, involves race fuel.

“Picture this: you’re headed to the racetrack when you look in your mirror and see smoke pouring out of your trailer,” he said. “You pull over, but by the time the fire is out, your race car, trailer, tools, spare parts, and everything you’ve spent years building is gone. You call your insurance company expecting them to help, only to find out the claim is being denied because race fuel was involved. That’s a gap many racers don’t even know exists until they’re living through it.”

Experiences like that helped shape the company’s approach to motorsports insurance.

“We know racers carry race fuel because that’s part of racing,” Dufrene said. “The same goes for spare engines, transmissions, generators, pit vehicles, and everything else that supports a racing operation. Instead of trying to force racing into a standard auto or collector car policy, we built our program around the realities of the sport so racers don’t have to learn about those gaps the hard way.”

Laris Motorsports Insurance provides coverage for competition vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment, pit vehicles, motorhomes, and toterhomes as part of a complete racing operation. The company also uses a stated-value approach that allows racers to insure major components such as the chassis, engine, and transmission individually, helping simplify the claims process should a loss occur.

The company’s roots stretch back nearly nine decades. The Laris family entered the insurance business in 1939 when Sidney J. Laris founded the agency. His son, Rudy Laris Sr., expanded the business into property and casualty insurance while fueling his own passion for drag racing. The next generation, led by Ross Laris, grew the family agency into a nationally recognized business before Ross’ son, Holden Laris, President and CEO of Laris Motorsports Insurance, launched the company in 2019.

Drawing from his firsthand experience as a racer, Holden identified many of the shortcomings competitors faced when trying to insure their racing investments. Those experiences ultimately led to the development of a program designed to eliminate many of the coverage gaps racers had unknowingly accepted for years.

In 2026, the company expanded its specialty programs to include circle track and road course competitors, bringing those services to IMCA racers for the first time at Super Nationals.

Racers are encouraged to visit the Laris Motorsports Insurance display inside the registration tent throughout the week to learn where hidden gaps may exist in their current coverage and how to better protect their racing operation before the next trip to the track. They can also scan the dedicated IMCA QR code—or visit https://qrco.de/IMCA —to connect directly with the Laris team and request a personalized coverage review.
