Hanselman Scores Milestone Hobby Stock Win on Opening Night at Kossuth County

By Greg Grabinoski ALGONA, Iowa (May 7, 2026) — A stout 22-car Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock field highlighted Thursday’s season opener at Kossuth County Speedway, where Dan Hanselman added another chapter to an already impressive track résumé. Corbin White controlled the early portion of the feature, leading the first seven laps while navigating a pair of cautions that kept the field tightly packed. On the restart following the second yellow, Hanselman made his move and never looked back, taking command and pacing the final seven circuits. Montagne Motors to First SportMod Win of Season at Park Jefferson

By Chance Riley JEFFERSON, S.D. (May 8, 2026) — It was another great night of racing at Park Jefferson Speedway under a beautiful 75-degree Friday evening. The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods saw North Sioux City’s “Toehead” Rusty Montagne pick up his first win of the season after starting sixth. Nearly a year to the day since his last victory on May 8, 2025, Montagne made a decisive mid-race move to the outside of early leader Kirk Beatty to take command. He then held off a hard-charging Jake Newsom, who searched every lane on the speedway but came up just short. Newsom finished second, followed by Beatty, Garret Neville, and Noah Williams. (May 9, 2026) — Aaron Bloom made a decisive mid-race move to capture the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Cottage Grove Speedway, scoring his first win of the season in the 25-lap main event. Gavin Ropchan took control early and quickly checked out from the field while a fierce battle for second unfolded among four contenders. Bloom, the defending track champion, eventually emerged from a spirited fight that included his father, Ray Bloom, and secured the runner-up position on lap six. Will Wolf, who started 11th, appeared poised to score the victory after leading much of the race, but a late caution reset the field. The Bakersfield, California driver started mid-pack and methodically worked his way to the front to earn his fifth win of the year at four different tracks in three different states—and his first victory of the season at Marshalltown. (May 2, 2026) — Jordan Henry prevailed in a hard-fought 25-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Cottage Grove Speedway, earning his first win of the season after a race filled with intense battles and constant position changes. Ricky Ashley, in the T.R. Points Trucking-provided No. 8511, won the race to the line on the opening lap ahead of Justin Morgan and quickly built a sizable advantage. Lapped traffic came into play by lap nine, allowing Morgan to close in while also holding off defending track champion Aaron Bloom. Rayce Mullen jumped out to the early lead as he and Krall distanced themselves from the rest of the field. Chad Volk of Lake Crystal, who started third, had his car dialed in early and led the entire distance to score his first win of the year in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Cory Probst, who started 10th, appeared to be a contender before a caution sent him to the back on a restart.
