Wednesday IMCA Modified winner at BVR earns $1,000

ALTA, Iowa – A top check of $1,000 along with a berth on the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot are at stake for IMCA Modifieds vying Wednesday at Buena Vista Raceway. The Modified portion of the Aug. 8 program at Alta is draw/redraw. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts complete the card. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Iowa State and track points will be awarded. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. with racing to follow. Pit passes are $25. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, veterans and students. Kids ages 12 and under get in for $2 or with the donation of a non-perishable food item.

Early entries top 110 for IMCA Harris Clash at Deer Creek Speedway

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. – More than 110 IMCA Modified and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod drivers are now entered for the history-making Harris Clash. Deer Creek Speedway hosts the 27th annual event next Tuesday, Aug. 7. Modifieds will race for $3,000 to win, Northern SportMods for $1,000 to win when the first-ever IMCA-sanctioned event is held at the Spring Valley, Minn., oval. The Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2019 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Minnesota State points are at stake for both divisions. IMCA Modified stars shine at Hancock County specials

BRITT, Iowa – Three very rich nights of racing give the stars of the IMCA Modified division the opportunity to shine at Hancock County Speedway. The Thursday, Aug. 9 Night of 1,000 Stars at Britt pays a guaranteed $3,500 to win and $300 to start, plus a bonus of $1,000 to the leader at halfway and another $1,000 if the winner has perfect attendance at Britt this season. The Night of 10,000 Stars on Friday, Aug. 10 sports a $7,000 top check, plus $1,000 bonuses to the halfway leader, for perfect attendance and for having won on Thursday as well. Dirt Knights at Clay County rained out

SPENCER, Iowa – The Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour event scheduled for tonight (Monday) at Clay County Fair Speedway has been rained out. The IMCA Modified tour finale will not be rescheduled. Point standings will be tabulated using drivers’ best five of six event finishes; all point fund amounts and contingency awards are to be announced.

Red River Valley, Norman County host Sanders Modified Challenge Tour dates

WEST FARGO, N.D. – IMCA Modifieds take to the track in $1,300 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying features on both nights of the Sanders Modified Challenge Tour. Events Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D., and Thursday, Aug. 9 at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn., are draw/redraw and pay $1,100 for second and $1,000 for third. Minimum start money is $200. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central and Minnesota State points, but no track points will be awarded. Out-Pace Racing Products gives a $100 hard charger award. Both shows will be broadcast by IMCA.TV and pork chops will be served in the pit area after the race program is complete at Ada. Holladay adds Deery Series victory to record of LaSalle success

LASALLE, Ill. (Aug. 4) – The winner of the last One Night Stand main event became the winner of the first Deery Brothers Summer Series feature held at LaSalle Speedway. Chad Holladay made his way from fifth to first following one late restart, then held off hard charger Cayden Carter following a caution with three laps left in winning Saturday’s IMCA Late Model tour feature at the North Central Illinois oval. “I definitely did not want to see that last caution. LaCrosse returns to IMCA Stock Car roots and reigns at rescheduled King of the Creek

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (Aug. 2) – Benji LaCrosse couldn’t remember the last year he raced an IMCA Sunoco Stock Car but his memory was pretty good when it came time to drive to victory lane at 141 Speedway. Second round of voting adds three more first-time All-Stars

BOONE, Iowa – Cayden Carter, Joel Rust and Kody Scholpp will make career-first Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational starts on Sept. 7 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. All three advanced from the second round of IMCA Modified All-Star voting, which concluded Thursday afternoon. SPENCER, Iowa – The finale for the 2018 Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour is Monday, Aug. 6, when IMCA Modifieds headline the Clay County Fair Speedway show.
