VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 26, 2026) — Seventeen more drivers became eligible to attempt to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational with qualifying victories during August, while already eligible competitors continued to add wins at special events, touring races, and weekly programs across all five IMCA Modified regions.
Drivers become eligible by winning IMCA-sanctioned events paying $1,000 or more to win, earning a place on the eligibility list to attempt to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational, held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September at Boone Speedway.
Already eligible drivers continued to collect qualifying victories throughout August. Chaz Baca Jr. won the Harken Memorial at Kossuth County Speedway on Aug. 6. Brandon Beckendorf won Aug. 15 at Worthington Speedway, while Zane DeVilbiss won Aug. 1 at Aztec Speedway. Spencer Diercks captured the John Dubuque Classic at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway on Aug. 2.
Charlie Fulton won Aug. 7 at The Hill Speedway, while Tripp Gaylord captured the Cowboy Challenge at Sheridan Speedway on Aug. 8. William Gould won Aug. 22 at Grayson County Speedway, and Travis Hagen swept the Aug. 7-8 Coal County Classic at McLean County Speedway before winning the Monte Lundy Memorial at Nodak Speedway on Aug. 16.
Shawn Harker won Aug. 15 at Eagle Raceway, while Spencer Hartwick won the same night at Batesville Motor Speedway. Brody Hose won Aug. 7 at Mt. Pleasant Speedway, and Mitchell Hunt collected victories Aug. 8 and Aug. 15 at Crystal Motor Speedway.
Bricen James won the Banks Modified Nationals at Sunset Speedway Park on Aug. 8, while Ethan Killingsworth won the same night at Southern Oregon Speedway. Jared Maupin captured the Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series event at Texana Raceway Park on Aug. 8, and Jeremy Mills won the Schattschneider Memorial at Kossuth County Speedway on Aug. 13.
Mike Petersilie added an Aug. 21 victory at Salt City Racing, Matt Sanders swept the Aug. 14-15 Legends of Dirt Modified Shootout weekend at Southern Oregon Speedway, before adding another qualifying victory Aug. 22 at Douglas County Dirt Track. Todd Shute won the Mike Benson & Scott Beauregard Memorial at Benton County Speedway on Aug. 2, and Rory Smith won Aug. 1 at Skagit Speedway.
First-time qualifier winners included Eddie Belec on Aug. 7 at Rooks County Speedway, Kyle Brown on Aug. 18 at Marshalltown Speedway, Jack Dalman on Aug. 22 at Crystal Motor Speedway, and Felix Dart on Aug. 8 at 141 Speedway.
Jason Ebert won Aug. 22 at 141 Speedway, while Bobby Eubanks won the same night at Salina Speedway. Kevin Feck was victorious Aug. 22 at Shawano Speedway, and Will Garceau won Aug. 14 at 141 Speedway.
Joe Huenefeld won Aug. 21 at Maquoketa Speedway, while Chris Lewis was victorious Aug. 1 at Lovelock Speedway. Josh Long won Aug. 15 at 141 Speedway, and Shane Paris was victorious Aug. 22 at Maquoketa Speedway.
Andrew Pearce won Aug. 1 at Antioch Speedway, while Chase Rosebrugh was victorious Aug. 15 at Merritt Speedway. Eric Scribner won Aug. 1 at 141 Speedway, Jeff Taylor was victorious Aug. 14 at Batesville Motor Speedway, and A.J. Ward won Aug. 14 at I-96 Speedway.
There are still qualifying opportunities to come in late August before a full slate of Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifiers in September. Events through Sept. 6 will award eligibility to attempt to qualify for the 2026 Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational.
The Razor Chassis North Central Region has qualifying opportunities at Wisconsin’s 141 Speedway on Aug. 29 and Iowa’s Boone Speedway during the Watermelon Classic the same night.
In the Close Racing Supply Eastern Region, Michigan hosts qualifiers at Crystal Motor Speedway on Aug. 29 and Sept. 5-6 and at Mt. Pleasant Speedway on Sept. 4.
The GRT Race Cars South Central Region has two qualifying nights with the Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series at Texas’ Rocket Raceway Park on Sept. 4-5.
The DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region has three opportunities before the cutoff. Washington’s Skagit Speedway hosts a qualifier Aug. 29, while California’s Santa Maria Speedway hosts both nights of the Simkins Memorial on Sept. 5-6.
Qualifying for the 2027 Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational then gets underway later in September. The Close Racing Supply Eastern Region has qualifiers at Crystal Motor Speedway Sept. 18-19, during the Great Lakes Nationals.
The Razor Chassis North Central Region has Sept. 19 qualifiers at 141 Speedway and Minnesota’s Arlington Raceway before South Dakota’s Park Jefferson Speedway hosts both nights of the Iron Cup Sept. 25-26.
The DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region has a Sept. 19 qualifier at Oregon’s Southern Oregon Speedway before Skagit Speedway hosts the Survive the 55 on Sept. 26.
The GRT Race Cars South Central Region has Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series qualifiers at Texas’ I-37 Speedway Sept. 25-26.
