EAGLE, Neb. (Aug. 8, 2026) — Rain delayed the program Saturday night at Eagle Raceway, but once racing resumed the action more than made up for it with dramatic finishes and first-time winners highlighting the evening.
Kyle Vanover charged from 14th starting to score his third Eagle Raceway victory of the season after taking the lead with eight laps remaining in the 20-lap Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature.
The race included a frightening opening-heat rollover by Dana Deeke and a violent crash in the B Feature involving Casey Woken and Chad Andersen, though all drivers escaped without serious injury.
Vanover worked his way through traffic before overtaking Mike Lineberry and then holding off fellow hard charger Dillon Richards, who advanced from 16th to finish second. Lineberry was third, Benji Legg fourth, and Travis Patterson completed the top five.
The victory was Vanover’s 11th EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region win of 2026.
Saathoff Survives Wild Modified Feature
Johnny Saathoff emerged victorious after a caution-filled Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature that saw multiple lead changes and several contenders fall by the wayside.
Aaron Pella, Jaxon Saathoff and Tyler Fudge each spent time near the front before incidents reshuffled the order, allowing Johnny Saathoff to capitalize in the closing laps.
Adam Wasserman mounted an impressive drive from 18th to finish second and earn hard charger honors. Dustin Andersen advanced from 14th to third, Chad Andersen finished fourth, and Riley Ruisinger rounded out the top five.
The Beatrice driver earned his second Jet Racing Central Region victory of the season, with both wins coming at Eagle Raceway.
Erickson Scores First Eagle Raceway Sprint Car Win
Corbin Erickson made the long trip from Sioux Falls, S.D., pay off by taking command on lap 14 before driving away to his first Eagle Raceway victory in the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars.
After Cameron Thompson paced the early circuits, Erickson found the lead and survived multiple cautions and red flags to secure the win.
Thompson finished second, Nathan Weiler was third, Justin Bolte fourth, and Cole Wayman charged from 16th to fifth for hard charger honors.
The victory was Erickson’s first of the 2026 season.
Ramsey Capitalizes for Hobby Stock Victory
Tyler Ramsey inherited the lead late after contact among the front runners and held on to win an eventful Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature.
Eric Chab crossed the stripe second, while Tyler Phelps advanced from 14th to third to earn hard charger honors. Troy Dowty finished fourth and Nick Jensen rallied from 16th to complete the top five.
The Papillion driver collected his second B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory of the season, with both wins coming at Eagle Raceway.
Williams Goes Wire-to-Wire in Northern SportMods
Noah Williams made the most of his front-row starting spot by leading every lap of the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature.
Trevor Noonan stayed close throughout but could not mount a challenge as Williams remained in command from start to finish.
Derek Hall finished third, Cole Wayman advanced from 11th to fourth, and Theron Ahlman completed the top five.
The Ashland driver earned his fourth victory of the season, with three of those coming at Eagle Raceway.
