Sluka stars Saturday at Eagle

EAGLE, Neb. (July 11) – Roger Sluka led start to finish in winning a fast-paced Karl Kustoms North­ern SportMod main event Saturday at Eagle Raceway. 

Sluka brought the 5S back to the flag stand first with Rich Flock, James Hines and Bobby Draper rounding out the top four. Lap three saw Braydon Latture race into second with Mike Scheinost taking third and Draper holding onto fourth. 

Derek Hall passed Draper on lap nine and Scheinost got past Latture for second two laps later, but Latture got the spot back after another two circuits with Shawn Harker jumping up to third. 

Harker got past Latture after two more rounds as Arie Schouten moved into fourth. Harker dropped out with just three to go making the final top four Sluka, Schouten, Latture and Brian Baker.

Clint Homan topped the IMCA Modified feature and Jeff Ware continued his IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock winning streak.

Another great night of racing at Eagle Raceway Saturday night as Demon Decals and Budweiser presented Bad Fast Fever. A great crowd, plenty of cars in the pits and a beautiful summer night meant that it was going to be a fantastic show that finished in just over 3 hours. 

Devin Bruce led from lap three to the checkers in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main event and Joey Danley led Trevor Grossenbacher and Mike Boston across the stripe in the IMCA Rac­eSaver Sprint Car feature.

IMCA Modifieds headline Eagle Raceway Ice Breaker Challenge

EAGLE, Neb. (April 11, 2022) – IMCA Modifieds headline both race night cards as six IMCA divisions see action at Eagle Raceway’s April 15-16 Ice Breaker Challenge. Modifieds run for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to start on opening night and $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start on night two. Jenkins gets IMCA Modified job done at Eagle

(July 9, 2022) – Ryan Jenkins has the distinction of winning his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Eagle Raceway in front of a pair of former national champions.  Saturday’s finale at America’s Home Track saw Jenkins put his number 6 out front early. Jordan Grabouski advanced to second with nine laps left and Johnny Saathoff took over third with five to go but neither could deny Jenkins the checkers.  “Luckily we started outside pole tonight and were able to get it done,” Jenkins said post-race. “I didn’t really know how far ahead I was so I just tried to keep the car straight, keep getting through traffic clean and hoped to get to the checkers with no cautions. I’ve had a lot of seconds here, a lot of thirds, but tonight was my first win.” Kyle Vanover vanquished his IMCA Sunoco Stock Car foes, Dillon Richards won again in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Adam Armstrong was back in victory lane following the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature.  [Read More]

Horton is first in Eagle Sprint feature

(July 2, 2022) – Brandon Horton was first to the checkers when a change in the running order had IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars take to the high banks for the first main event of the evening Saturday at Eagle Raceway. Horton passed Jason Danley for the lead on a lap five restart. Mike Boston got past Danley for second with eight circuits remaining but couldn’t close the gap on the leader. “In eight or nine years now, I think we’ve finished in every single spot in the feature except winning it, so this feels really good, finally,” said Horton. “I liked the track tonight. I think running the Sprint Cars first kind of set in a nice groove that everyone else ran as the night went on.
