Maynard Collects First Career NY-Penn Series Victory

MONROETON, Pa. (June 12, 2026) — Jake Maynard raced from seventh on the starting grid to capture his first career Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series feature victory Friday night at The Hill Speedway.

Mike Wilcox and Shawn Bruce led the field to green for the 25-lap feature. As the race unfolded, Maynard steadily worked his way through the field and into contention. The Wyalusing driver eventually took command and proved to be the class of the field over the closing stages, securing his first career NY-Penn Series triumph.

The victory was Maynard’s third of the season in Close Racing Supply Eastern Region competition.

Benjamin capped off a strong evening by finishing second after starting fourth and leading much of the feature.

Jacob McConnell turned in a good performance, advancing from 11th to complete the podium in third.

Keith Lamphere earned S&S Auto Body Hard Charger honors after charging from 17th and last to finish fourth, gaining 13 positions in the process. Charlie Fulton rounded out the top five.

MD Welding heat race wins went to Aaron Benjamin and Jake Maynard.

Eddie Sites tops podium at The Hill

Gary Lamphere took over the lead position on lap four, with Eddie Sites tucked up tight to Lamphere’s bumper. Sites took command on the next circuit, and fought off multiple challenges from Rodney Morgan, who was driving the Rick Watt number 99 this week. Portland, Mich.’s Jeff Reay, who won at Tri City Motor Speedway last Friday. and backed it up with a win in the Eastern IMCA All Stars at Thunderbird Raceway on Wednesday, was on the move from 10th starting position, and took over second on the 17th lap. Sites prevails at NY-Penn’s Billy Ward Memorial

Sites took the lead early in Saturday’s Billy Ward Memorial at Afton Motorsports Park and never looked back, motoring to the $1,504 checkers in the inaugural NY-Penn Series event for the late long-time IMCA competitor. Rick Watt and Jeff Cardinale started on the front row in the second race of the third annual tour, with Cardinale dropping to the back while dealing with an ill car and moving Shawn Bruce up to the outside pole. Belcher Captures Sean Lias Memorial Victory at Woodhull Raceway

(May 30, 2026) — The Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series returned to Woodhull Raceway on Saturday night for the sixth annual Sean Lias Memorial presented by Chasin Dreams Transport and Lubic Sales and Marketing, with 18 drivers taking the green flag for the 25-lap feature. Tyler Belcher of Laceyville, Pennsylvania, started from the pole and led every lap on his way to victory. The win was Belcher’s first Close Racing Supply Eastern Region triumph of the season. The Sean Lias Memorial also served as a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier, making Belcher eligible to attempt to qualify for the invitational during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September. Dolan Dices Through Lapped Traffic at Port Royal for First Win

(June 13, 2026) — Chris Dolan’s steady climb through the River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series ranks reached a milestone Saturday night as the York driver led all 20 laps of the Penns Valley Meat Market feature at Port Royal Speedway to earn his first career RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car victory. Dolan started from the pole aboard the Jon Williams-owned No. 89D and immediately established himself as the driver to beat. Colton Hendershot settled into second and remained in pursuit for most of the race, with the pair running first and second through the opening 18 circuits. Lapped traffic briefly tightened the battle as Hendershot closed to within half a second of the leader. Moore Captures Skagit Speedway Modified Feature

(June 13, 2026) — Kyler Moore scored his first DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season Saturday night, winning the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Skagit Speedway and earning eligibility to attempt to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Brian Self jumped out to the early lead and paced the opening lap, becoming the first driver to lead a Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Skagit Speedway in his career. Moore worked his way past Self on lap two and controlled the race from there. Several late cautions kept the outcome in doubt. A yellow flag with four laps remaining led to a pair of green, white, checkered finishes, extending the race to 27 laps before Moore finally secured the victory. Cole Logan charged from 10th to finish second. Adam Holtrop completed the podium in third, while Tyson Blood advanced from ninth to fourth. Ben Gunderson rounded out the top five.

Sanders Breaks Through for First Modified Speedweek Win at Cottage Grove

(June 15, 2026) — Matt Sanders earned the biggest Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified victory of his career, winning the third round of the 2026 IMCA Wild West Speedweek on Monday night at Cottage Grove Speedway. Reigning National Rookie of the Year and Southern Oregon Speedway track champion Ethan Killingsworth, from California, grabbed the lead at the start and established himself as the driver to beat. He encountered lapped traffic on lap seven but maintained command as Sanders gradually closed the gap. By lap 14, Sanders was within striking distance and began challenging for the lead. A trio of cautions around the halfway mark repeatedly interrupted the battle, with Sanders unable to complete a pass before each yellow flag flew. The Brookings driver finally broke through on lap 25, edging ahead by .067 seconds at the stripe.
