MONROETON, Pa. (June 12, 2026) — Jake Maynard raced from seventh on the starting grid to capture his first career Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series feature victory Friday night at The Hill Speedway.
Mike Wilcox and Shawn Bruce led the field to green for the 25-lap feature. As the race unfolded, Maynard steadily worked his way through the field and into contention. The Wyalusing driver eventually took command and proved to be the class of the field over the closing stages, securing his first career NY-Penn Series triumph.
The victory was Maynard’s third of the season in Close Racing Supply Eastern Region competition.
Benjamin capped off a strong evening by finishing second after starting fourth and leading much of the feature.
Jacob McConnell turned in a good performance, advancing from 11th to complete the podium in third.
Keith Lamphere earned S&S Auto Body Hard Charger honors after charging from 17th and last to finish fourth, gaining 13 positions in the process. Charlie Fulton rounded out the top five.
MD Welding heat race wins went to Aaron Benjamin and Jake Maynard.
