LA CROSSE, Kan. (June 5, 2026) — A near-capacity crowd filled the grandstands Friday night at Rush County Speedway for the Myers Racing Engines Bullring Nationals, where Jeremy Huish captured his third career Bullring Nationals crown in United Rebel Sprint Series competition.

The United Rebel Sprint Series headlined the evening with a 35-lap feature showcasing many of the region’s top RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car competitors.

Huish started from the pole and battled Jordan Knight during the opening stages before executing a decisive slider in turns one and two with 17 laps remaining to take command.

Once out front, the Tribune, Kansas driver maintained control through the remainder of the race to secure his first victory of the season and third career Bullring Nationals triumph.

The victory was also the 21st of Huish’s URSS career, moving him into sole possession of eighth on the series’ all-time wins list.

Zach Blurton finished second after starting fourth, while Taylor Velasquez advanced from eighth to claim third. Knight crossed the stripe fourth and Koby Walters completed the top five.

Ace Moore turned in a strong run from 12th to sixth, while Tyler Knight earned hard charger honors by advancing from 19th to 10th.

Brayton Dewell, Blurton and Knight won the evening’s heat races, while Johnny Boos captured the B Feature.

Burkhart Capitalizes for Stock Car Victory

Troy Burkhart capitalized on early leader Jeffrey Abbey’s misfortune to score the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature victory in the 15-lap main event.

Abbey, the Texas driver, started from the pole and quickly established himself as the driver to beat. However, his night came to an abrupt end on lap six with mechanical trouble, handing the lead to Burkhart.

The Hays, Kansas driver, who started second, inherited the top spot and never looked back. Jeremy Zorn stayed within striking distance during the middle stages, but Burkhart gradually stretched his advantage and raced to the victory.

The win was Burkhart’s second of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and came at his second different track of 2026.

Zorn finished second while Bobby Eubanks advanced from seventh to complete the podium.

Doug Holzmeister charged from 10th to fourth, while Chris Oliver rounded out the top five.

Abbey and Burkhart captured the evening’s Stock Car heat race victories.
