MANDAN, N.D. (May 29, 2026) — Dacotah Speedway was back in action on Friday night after weather forced the cancellation of the previous week’s program. Chris “The Crowbar” Tuchscherer started on the pole for the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature, but it was Marcus Tomlinson who quickly established himself as the driver to beat.
The Turtle Lake racer grabbed the lead in the early stages before defending track champion Jeremy Keller reeled him in. The pair raced side by side for several laps in one of the night’s most entertaining battles.
Contact between the leaders allowed Shawn Strand to close the gap, and with six laps remaining, Strand moved past Keller for second and began chasing down Tomlinson.
Despite the pressure, Tomlinson remained composed and drove to victory, collecting his second Razor Chassis North Central Region win of the season and first Dacotah Speedway triumph of 2026. The victory was also his first feature win at the Mandan oval since August of 2020.
Strand finished second ahead of Keller. Tuchscherer crossed the stripe fourth while Zach Frederick rounded out the top five.
Hellman Charges from Ninth for Third Stock Car Victory
Travis Ulmer led the opening laps of the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature while drivers raced three and four wide behind him. As competitors battled for position, Matt Dosch methodically worked his way through traffic and challenged Ulmer for the lead.
Dosch and Ulmer raced side by side before Dosch took command on lap four. A pair of mid-race cautions regrouped the field and provided an opportunity for points leader Geoff Hellman to continue his charge from the ninth starting position.
Following the final restart, Hellman quickly worked past Ulmer for second and set his sights on Dosch. With five laps remaining, Hellman slipped into the lead and paced the rest of the distance to score his third EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season, with all three wins coming at Dacotah Speedway.
Dosch finished second ahead of Ulmer in third. Marlyn Seidler recorded a season-best fourth-place finish while Jeremy Engelhardt completed the top five. Chris Welk Jr. turned in a notable performance, advancing from 18th to eighth.
The event was broadcast live on IMCA TV. Catch every lap again with the IMCA TV Replay Subscription, available for just $25.99/month. And don’t miss Season 2 of the Boone Docuseries, streaming exclusively on IMCA TV.
