Frostbuster Week Set to Launch Iowa IMCA Season April 1–4

VINTON, Iowa (Mar. 3, 2026) — The traditional opening swing of the Iowa IMCA season returns as Frostbuster Week brings four Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing divisions to four tracks in four consecutive nights of racing, April 1–4.

Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars will each compete for $1,000 to win nightly, while Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks race for $500 top prizes at every stop.

The 2026 Frostbuster schedule opens Wednesday, April 1 at Stuart Speedway, followed by Thursday, April 2 at Independence Motor Speedway. Marshalltown Speedway hosts the third night on Friday, April 3, with the finale set for Saturday, April 4 at Boone Speedway.

Series champions will receive the largest shares of a $1,000 point fund and earn eligibility for Race of Champions events at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Modified and Stock Car feature winners throughout the week will qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational and B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational, respectively.

Stuart Speedway opens the week with pit gates at 3 p.m., hot laps at 4:30, and racing at 5. Adult admission is $18, veterans and seniors $16, children ages 6–12 $5, and kids five and under free. Additional information is available from Mike VanGenderen at 640-521-0330 or stuartspeedway.net.

Independence Motor Speedway follows on April 2, opening grandstand gates at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7. Adult admission is $20, students (11–17) $10, and kids 10 and under free. More information is available from Dana Benning at 319-404-7177 or via Facebook.

Marshalltown Speedway’s April 3 program opens pit gates at 3:00 p.m. and grandstands at 5:00, with hot laps at 6:15 and racing to follow. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for veterans, seniors, and students, while kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult. The Saturday finale at Boone Speedway opens pit gates at 2 p.m., grandstands at 3, hot laps at 4, and racing at 5. Adult tickets are $20, students $15, and children 10 and under free. Event details are available at raceboone.com.

Adult pit passes are $35 nightly. Entry fees are $30 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars, and $20 for Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts will also compete at Stuart, Independence, and Marshalltown.

All events award Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing national and state points. Regional points will be awarded in the Razor Chassis North Central Region for Modifieds, the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region for Stock Cars, and the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region for Hobby Stocks.
