Dodson Reigns at Path Valley

SPRING RUN, Pa. (Sept. 7, 2025) — Doug Doug Dodson’s record shows he can win on any sized track, but small has been beautiful this year for the Middletown veteran, who scored his second straight River Valley Builders PASS feature at the Path Valley Speedway bullring Saturday night.

Scheduled to start fourth, Dodson moved up to the front row after initial occupants Timmy Bittner and Kruz Kepner tangled on the first attempted start. He then out-dragged PASS newcomer Rick Lafferty for the lead on the restart and never gave it up, despite repeated challenges from Lafferty.

Lafferty came closest near the 20-lap mark of the 25-lap contest, but a caution for a spinning Tyler Schell removed traffic from the equation, and Dodson drove away to win by 1.854 seconds at the checkered flag.

Mike Koehler, wheeling Jesse Storm’s no. 97S entry, advanced from eighth to third and earned hard charger honors. Jarrett Cavalet, who battled Koehler much of the way, settled for fourth.

The victory made Dodson and the George Stevens-owned no. 20 the first four-time winners in PASS this season, and it was his 13th career series triumph since joining in 2019. A veteran with wins in multiple sprint car divisions, Dodson has not run the full schedule in 2025 and sits outside the top ten in points, but he’s made the most of his starts with four wins and seven top-four finishes in just 14 races.

PASS entries total 46, red hot Bard wins at Port Royal

(Aug. 7) – Garrett Bard won his fifth Pennsylvania Sprint Series race in his last sixth starts Saturday night, taking advantage of his second straight front-row starting position draw and fighting off stout challenges from Kenny Heffner and Tyler Snook to top the 20-lap feature at Port Royal Speedway. The defending national champion Bard received his final and most serious challenge on a late restart with six laps to go. Rookie Snook dove to the inside and briefly claimed the lead, but Bard’s outside power was enough to return him to the top spot and the win. Kenny Heffner also challenged earlier in the race and re-took second place from Snook in the waning laps. Ken Duke and Dom Melair rounded out the top five. Forty-six IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars contended. Kassidy Kreitz earned the night’s hard charger award, coming from the 21st starting position to 12th after winning her “B” main. Duke Takes First PA Sprint Series Win of ’25 at Selinsgrove

(Jul. 11, 2025) – Ken Duke Jr. of Selinsgrove is the winningest active driver in the River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series and the reigning series champion, but 2025 had kept him out of victory lane—until Friday night, when “The Ice Man” used his home turf at Selinsgrove Speedway to score a decisive first win of the season. Three PASS championships and the 2019 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car national title already give Duke a full trophy case, but there’s always room for another. Starting third in the 20-lap feature, Duke wasted no time making a veteran’s move—slipping past front row starters Jarrett Cavalet and Christian Rumsey exiting turn two on the opening lap to claim the lead. PASS heads back to Selinsgrove

By Frank Buhrman SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Foiled by rain on their last scheduled visit, Pennsylvania Sprint Series competitors return to Selinsgrove Speedway Saturday night to run their second 2021 feature at the big Snyder County oval. PASS IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will run qualifying events and a 20-lap feature. The first IMCA RaceSaver event of 2021 at Selinsgrove was won by New Yorker Justin Mills on April 10. Mills is expected to return Saturday, along with Garrett Bard and Ken Duke Jr., the last two PASS and IMCA RaceSaver national champions. Duke also is the hometown favorite. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for Saturday’s program, with racing scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Adult general admission is $15 and on Family Night, students 17 and under will be admitted free. Pit admission is $30.

12th Annual Iron Cup Headlines Two Nights at Park Jefferson Speedway

29th Annual Abe Lincoln Memorial Runs Sept. 11-13 at US 30 Speedway

(Sept. 8, 2025) — One of Nebraska’s most prestigious IMCA specials returns this fall as US 30 Speedway hosts the 29th Annual Abe Lincoln Memorial, set for Thursday through Saturday, September 11-13. The three-day event begins on Thursday, September 11 with an open practice session from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by a mechanics race and powder puff from 8:30 to 9 p.m. A pit crew competition caps the night at 9 p.m. Pits open at 5 p.m. with a $20 pit pass.
