Priddy Awarded Hobby Stock Victory at Dodge City

DODGE CITY, Kan. (May 31, 2025) — The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature at Dodge City Raceway Park delivered plenty of action and late-race twists. Cole Schulte took the early lead despite being jostled around in tight packs, and eventually Austin Rich worked his way to the front and led to the checkered flag.

However, Rich was disqualified in post-race technical inspection, and Dion Priddy was officially awarded the win — his first of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. The Lindsborg racer, Priddy, made a strong drive through the field, gaining eight positions to cap off a stellar night.

Brendan Rich claimed second after advancing six spots, and Schulte crossed the line third.

Kirchoff Bests Maughlin in SportMod Thriller

The Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod main event was packed with action from the start. Dustin Lampe showed the way early before a multi-car incident brought out a red flag and ended the night for several drivers. Among them was Jack Kirchoff, who made heavy contact with the outside wall but was able to exit his car under his own power.

When the green flag returned, Ryan Kirchoff and Maughlin surged to the front. The pair traded the lead, but a late-race opportunity opened the door for Holcomb’s Kirchoff to retake the top spot. He led the final laps to earn his second Dodge City win of the year.

Maughlin finished a strong second, with Dustin Lampe holding on for third. Justin Lampe was the hard charger, gaining eight spots to finish fifth.

Back-to-Front Challenge returns to Dodge City on Friday night

By Lonnie Wheatley DODGE CITY, Kan. – The Back-to-Front Challenge is back at this Friday night’s Dodge City Raceway Park Driver & Fan Appreciation Night. And a lucky fan could walk away from the night’s races with an extra $10,000. The always popular Driver & Fan Appreciation Night continues July 24 at the 3/8-mile clay oval in Southwest Kansas with fans admitted for $5 with a ticket from a driver. Otherwise, general admission is $12. Drivers and fans alike will be treated to all variety of giveaways throughout the night of racing that includes the Hambelton Racing DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. To cap the evening off, if a selected driver can race from the 20th starting position in his feature event to take the win then a lucky fan holding the winning ticket can win $10,000. Friday marks the fourth round of championship chase action at Dodge City Raceway Park. Racing action gets under way at 7:30 p.m.

Roach is first SportMod Mayhem repeat winner

(Aug. 18) – Mike Roach became the first repeat winner of Dodge City Raceway Park’s $1,000-to-win IMCA SportMod Mayhem event by racing to victory lane in Saturday night’s fifth annual event. Roach topped the 25-lapper from sixth starting after initially topping the event in 2015. He needed just four laps to race into second and then took the lead away from Jeff Kaup on the eighth circuit. Roach led the rest of the way to post his second consecutive victory at Dodge City with Brandon Kenney in tow after taking the second position from Kaup on the ninth lap. After topping last year’s SportMod Mayhem main, Dustin Daniels fell two positions short of going back-to-back by filling out the podium in third with Kaup and Blaine Walt rounding out the top five. Dodge City championship chases to the critical stage on Saturday

And Saturday’s championship chase tilt is critical in points chases for each of the Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Saturday’s racing action goes green at 7:30 p.m. Only two more nights of championship chase action remain after Saturday’s event including the Saturday, Sept. 1 Labor Day Weekend special and then the sixth annual Jerry Soderberg Memorial Championship event on Sept. 15. General admission for Saturday’s championship chase action at Dodge City is $15 with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Kaytee DeVries: Hitting the Century Mark in Sport Compacts

$10,000 Stock Car Top Prize on the Line at 141 Speedway’s King of the Creek

(Jun. 25, 2025) — One of the biggest paydays of the summer for the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars returns to 141 Speedway as the 8th Annual King of the Creek presented by Appleton Camping Center roars into Francis Creek on July 15 and 16. Just like the Clash at the Creek held in June, a revamped format returns for this year’s King of the Creek, headlined by a $10,000-to-win finale on Wednesday night, which also serves as a B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational qualifier.
