McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. – Junction Motor Speedway’s Mike Chapin Memorial Spring Thaw becomes the latest casualty of a cold, wet forecast.

Boone County, Junction hosts next Sunoco bonus nights for IMCA Late Models

ALBION, Neb. (June 8, 2023) – A pair of Sunoco Race Fuels bonuses are at stake this weekend in Nebraska. Division title sponsor Sunoco awards $250 bonuses to IMCA Late Model feature winners on Friday, June 9 at Boone County Raceway in Albion and Saturday, June 10 at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. for Boone County’s Firemen Appreciation Night show. McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. – The first green flag of the season flies at Junction Motor Speedway for the Saturday, April 3 Mike Chapin Memorial Spring Thaw. IMCA Sunoco Late Models chase a top $1,000 check that evening, with IMCA Modifieds running for $775 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $675, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $525, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern and Big Daddy Race Cars Northern region, and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded. Entry fee is $100 for Late Models, $70 for Modifieds, $60 for Stock Cars, $50 for SportMods, $40 for Hobby Stocks and $20 for Sport Compacts. Pre-registration is due by March 29. McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. – Junction Motor Speedway hosts the Barb Nunnenkamp Memorial McCool 100, with six IMCA divisions on the weekend card. IMCA Sunoco Late Models run for $1,000 to win, IMCA Modifieds for $775 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $675 to win, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $525 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25 at McCool Junction. (Oct. 23, 2026) — When Caleb Gardner climbed out of his No. 39 Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock at Dacotah Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 3, another night of racing had come to an end. But this particular evening carried a little more significance for the Glyndon, Minn., driver, who was preparing to trade the familiar surroundings of dirt tracks and race shops for an overseas deployment with the Minnesota National Guard. The Oktoberfest program in Mandan, N.D., marked Gardner’s final race before departing overseas, where he will serve as a tracked-vehicle recovery operator. Whiteaker Wins Three-Wide Showdown while Torres Breaks Through in STIMS Texana Clash

By Nick Robbins EDNA, Texas (Oct. 17, 2026) — The Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series presented by On Demand Shirts took the green flag for its 2026 season finale at Texana Raceway Park during the Lance and Martha Toler Last Call Racing Texana Clash. Two separate $1,500-to-win shows produced two different winners, with one grabbing his first victory of the season. The first heat race went three-wide at the green flag, with Steven Whiteaker Jr. storming through the middle of the track to take the lead from fourth off turn two. Reigning series champion Jared Maupin got loose entering turn three, leaving Shawn Sandegren with nowhere to go as contact brought out the caution. The second attempt saw polesitter Brian Machicek hold off a charge from Logan Dinsmore to lead the opening lap.
