Parmeley prevails at Canyon

PEORIA, Ariz. (April 1) – John Parmeley pulled off the sweep in the Leading Edge IMCA Modifieds Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park, winning his heat race before driving from his sixth starting spot to take the feature win.

Parmeley declared himself as the car to beat early on, making his way around leader K.C. Dieckman and driving away from the field. Parmeley held the large advantage through numerous cautions until Jason Noll found himself behind the leader on a restart.

Parmeley and Noll escaped the fray with only a handful of laps to go to battle it out for the win. Noll made the first mistake coming to the white flag, allowing Parmeley to get away with the win. Noll held on for second with Zachary Madrid, Chaz Baca Jr. and Bubba Stafford rounding out the top five.

Speedy Madrid wound up with the Arizona Differential IMCA Northern SportMod victory after the apparent winner failed post-race tech.

Repeat winners are Saturday story at Canyon

By Tony Steele PEORIA, Ariz. (March 17) – Repeat winners were the story Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park. Jason Noll wasted no time following a Leading Edge IMCA Modified restart and made what proved to be the race-winning pass of Ryan Roath to the inside when the green flag flew. Chaz Baca had a strong run going until a misstep allowed Joey Moriarity to get by to the inside, putting both MRT Racecar teammates on the podium. For the first time in almost a full year the race fans at Canyon were treated to a full Allscapes IMCA Stock Car battle between Cody Center and George Fronsman. It seems between the two it’s been one of them having some type of mechanical problem over the last six or so races. At last, both cars held up to full strength and the fight raged on. Dan Shepherd Memorial Stock Car Shootout set at Canyon

PEORIA, Ariz. – IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars both race for $1,000 to win on night two of Canyon Speedway Park’s inaugural Dan Shepherd Memorial. The Sunday, Sept. 1 Modified main is a qualifying event for the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and pays a minimum of $100 to start. The 77-lap Stock Car feature pays a minimum of $75 to start. Also on Sunday, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $500 to win, Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $250. On Saturday, Aug. 31, Modifieds race for $750 to win, Stock Cars for $500, Hobby Stocks for $250 and Sport Compacts for $150. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, E3 Spark Plugs State and track points will be awarded both nights. PEORIA, Ariz. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win and berths on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot both nights of Canyon Speedway Park’s Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3 and 4 Desert Dash. Both features pay a minimum of $125 to start. Also running each night are Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $1,000 to win and $100 to start; IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $500 to win and $65 to start; and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 to win and $50 to start. Pill draw fee is $50 for Modifieds, $40 for Northern SportMods, $30 for Stock Cars and $20 for Hobby Stocks. Foulger Scores Third Hetrick Memorial Victory at Antioch

By Candice Martin ANTIOCH, Calif. (Jun. 28, 2025) — Troy Foulger of Oakley won the 20-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. The $1,000 payday came as part of the 10th annual Jerry Hetrick Memorial and marked Foulger’s third career win in the event. It was also his second IMCA Modified victory of the season at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds track, his fifth Shaw Race Cars Western Region triumph of 2025, and his 80th combined career win at the speedway. Looking to repeat as the winner, Andrew Pearce set the early pace ahead of Foulger, but a yellow flag waved for Tyler Browne of Antioch on lap 2. Probst Powers From the Back for Arlington Hobby Stock Win

(June 28, 2025) — Despite morning rain showers that challenged track prep for Holtmeier Construction Night, fans at Arlington Raceway were treated to a thrilling night of racing filled with dominant drives, dramatic comebacks, and season-first wins. Cory Probst refused to let a second-lap caution define his night. Sent to the back of the pack, the defending champion sliced through the field, passing 15 cars on his way to victory—his 16th B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region win of 2025 and fifth at Arlington. Pounds Prevails in Emotional McGowan Memorial Win at Bakersfield

(Jun. 28, 2025) — Brad Pounds delivered an emotional victory in Saturday’s 30-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature, capturing the $1,032-to-win Richie McGowan Memorial at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. The win marked Pounds’ second of the season at Bakersfield Speedway and in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region, coming in tribute to his late father-in-law. Pounds and Bryan Clark shared the front row for the main event, with a four-wide battle on the opening lap quickly sorting out in Pounds’ favor. He took command of the race while Jake Pike gave chase using the high line through lapped traffic. Two late-race restarts inside the final 10 laps gave Pike opportunities, but Pounds held on by a car length for the special win. Rob Sanders rounded out the podium.
