Repeat winners are Saturday story at Canyon

PEORIA, Ariz. (March 17) – Repeat winners were the story Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park.

Jason Noll wasted no time following a Leading Edge IMCA Modified restart and made what proved to be the race-winning pass of Ryan Roath to the inside when the green flag flew. Chaz Baca had a strong run going until a misstep allowed Joey Moriarity to get by to the inside, putting both MRT Racecar teammates on the podium.

For the first time in almost a full year the race fans at Canyon were treated to a full Allscapes IMCA Stock Car battle between Cody Center and George Fronsman. It seems between the two it’s been one of them having some type of mechanical problem over the last six or so races. At last, both cars held up to full strength and the fight raged on.

Much of the race was led by Fronsman on the low side while Center continued to chip away on the cushion. Center finally got the run he needed to get by Fronsman and did look back.

For the third time this season, Joe Peterson recovered from an early trip to the hot pits en route to victory lane in the Desert Restorations IMCA Hobby Stocks.

Billy Ayres Jr. captured his second win of the year in the brand new Mach-1 Sport Compact division.

Next up at Canyon Speedway Park on Saturday, March 31 will be the Easter Eggstravaganza, featuring the Leading Edge IMCA Modifieds and Arizona Differential IMCA Northern SportMods.

Canyon hosts IMCA Harvest Hustle over Thanksgiving Weekend

PEORIA, Ariz. – IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods are on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 23 and 24 Harvest Hustle cards at Canyon Speedway Park. Modifieds race for $750 to win on Friday and for $1,500 to win in their Saturday Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying main event. SportMods chase top checks of $500 on Friday and $1,000 on Saturday. Entry fees for both divisions are $25 each night. Pit passes are $35 for adults, $20 for kids ages 7-11 and free for six and under. All minors must have a signed and notarized release form on file to get into the pit area. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors 60 and over and military, and free for kids 11 and under. Pits will be cleared at 4 p.m. and the grandstands open at 5 p.m. both days. Noll knows way to Canyon’s winner circle

By Tony Steele PEORIA, Ariz. (July 22) – Jason Noll captured his second Arizona Differential IMCA Modified win of the season Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park. Rookie T.J. Wyman rolled off on the front row of the feature next to Guy Norton, with Norton leading the way through the first two laps. Wyman took over on lap three while Norton’s evening ended early with mechanical issues. Meanwhile, Noll clicked his way through traffic, taking over the lead from Wyman as lap four was completed. John Parmeley worked his way through the field at the same time, moving into the runner-up spot from the 15th starting position. Noll held off Parmeley with Kenny Gill, Ryan Roath and Popeye Madrid rounding out the top five. George Fronsman picked up his sixth win in the Allscapes IMCA Stock Cars. Joe Vlasity now holds the most wins of the year in the Desert Restorations IMCA Hobby Stocks with his third win in 2019. Robert Cody closed out the evening with his Mach-1 Sport Compact division leading fourth feature win.

Parmeley, Kuehl, Fronsman top Canyon features

(June 8) – John Parmeley continued his hot streak at Canyon Speedway Park with his fourth victory of the year in the Arizona Differential IMCA Modifieds Saturday night, while Taylor Kuehl grabbed her first win of the season in the Askrens Trucking/Flexi Flyer IMCA Northern SportMods. In Allscapes IMCA Stock Car action it was once again George Fronsman in victory lane, earning his fifth win of the season. A new point leader has been crowned after another weekend of Modified action as Parmeley snagged a two point lead from the ever-consistent Ryan Roath. Jay Foster started the feature from the pole, taking off from the field for the first few laps of the race. With Foster in charge, Parmeley drove up from the eighth spot to challenge. Archibald Breaks Through for First Antioch Stock Car Victory

By Candice Martin ANTIOCH, Calif. (July 18, 2026) — Jake Archibald of Oakley collected his first career Antioch Speedway Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature victory Saturday night, leading all 20 laps. Archibald, who also won his eight-lap heat race, led Blaze Hill across the opening lap before the first of only two cautions waved for Scott Foster, who spun in turn four. Archibald maintained the lead on the restart as Jason Robles of Rio Vista moved into second ahead of Clarence Holbrook III of Galt. Dave Hill of San Francisco used the low groove in turn four on lap four to take third. By lap 10, Archibald had stretched his advantage to nearly half a straightaway over Jason Robles before the final caution waved on lap 12 for Blaze Hill. Probst Charges From 10th for Arlington Hobby Stock Victory

(July 18, 2026) — By the time feature racing began Saturday night at Arlington Raceway, the track had slickened off through the middle while still allowing plenty of side-by-side racing. The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature showcased those conditions, with Dan Scharpe leading the opening lap before a thrilling three-wide battle over the closing laps saw Cory Probst charge from 10th starting to score the victory. On lap two, Taylor Manderfield spun entering turn four and collected Patrick Schauer to bring out the caution. Jordan Robinson grabbed the lead on the restart while Cory Probst and Austin Jahnz quickly joined the battle. Jahnz briefly led at the halfway point before Robinson regained the advantage the following lap. With three laps remaining, the leaders raced three-wide down the backstretch as Probst powered to the outside of Robinson while Jahnz challenged on the inside. Jochim Breaks Through in Dacotah Stock Car Feature

(July 17, 2026) — Fresh off the Dakota Classic Modified Tour, Chris Tuchscherer and Brennor Grinstead led the field to the green flag in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Dacotah Speedway. Tuchscherer and Grinstead battled fiercely for the lead, swapping positions several times while Andrew Jochim patiently lurked in third. Jochim made it a three-car fight on lap eight, throwing a series of sliders to wrestle away the top spot. Once out front, Jochim steadily pulled away as point leader Geoff Hellman worked past Grinstead for third and began chasing down Tuchscherer for the runner-up position. After enduring a frustrating Dakota Classic Modified Tour, luck finally turned in Jochim’s favor as the Harwood driver cruised to his second EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season, with his wins coming at two different tracks.
