BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 27, 2024) – That deliciousness you’ll be smelling Sunday, Sept. 1 in the pit area at Boone Speedway is pork loin, baby back ribs and side dishes, served directly from Todd Van Eaton’s pit stalls near the turn three track entrance.
“It’s going to smell good all day, I can promise you that,” the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car veteran said. “Everybody is welcome. We’ll start serving at 8 p.m. and serve until everything is gone.”
Side dishes will include cheesy potatoes, cole slaw and Italian pasta salad. It’ll be hot so diners can grab a bottle of water, soda or adult beverage to enjoy, too.
In addition to Van Eaton Pork, pit dinner party sponsors include JBS Pork, Wreckers or Checkers Bar, Fox Welding/Vermeer, Logue Fabrication, IMCA and IMCA.TV, Gary Myers and family, Smokin’ Whips BBQ and The Adobe Lounge.
Cody Hicks performs at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on the pit area stage, following NAPA Auto Parts Double Down Prelude race programs at Boone.
“We can’t thank Todd and his family enough,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “He might not be able to drive a Stock Car all that well but he damn sure knows how to throw a party.”
