Antioch win is IMCA first for Jennings

(July 15, 2023) – Jason Ryan Jr. won his second Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature of the weekend Saturday, holding off Mark Garner for the checkers at Antioch Speedway. With a front row start, rookie Billy Garner bolted into the lead when the green flag flew, pursued by his father Mark. Ryan, also first Friday at Ocean Speedway, settled into third and took up pursuit. Ryan and the elder Garner went side by side for several laps before a low pass in turn four of the 11th lap gained Ryan second as Garner pushed too high. Billy Garner continued to lead the way until an inside pass on lap 14 gained Ryan the lead. Mark Garner passed Billy second before a yellow flag waved on lap 18. ANTIOCH, Calif. (March 21, 2023) – Three champions will be crowned in the upcoming IMCA Central California Clash May 3-7. IMCA.TV broadcasts each night of the fourth annual tour, which features Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods.  Opening night is Wednesday, May 3 at Antioch Speedway. The Central California Clash travels to Merced Speedway on Thursday, May 4, to Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford on Friday, May 5 and to Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway on Saturday, May 6 before concluding Sunday, May 7 at Bakersfield Speedway. By Candice Martin ANTIOCH, Calif. (Sept. 21, 2024) – Troy Foulger won both the 20 lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main events Saturday at Antioch Speedway. The championship night format put point Kellen Chadwick on the pole of the Modified race and he bolted into the lead ahead of Foulger and Jacob Mallet Jr. Andrew Pearce spun on lap two, collecting Tyler Browne. Chadwick continued to lead Mallet and Foulger on the restart, and an intense battle ensued. A low pass in turn three of the eighth lap briefly gained Mallet the lead, but Chadwick came rushing by on the outside down the back stretch a lap later. A three-wide battle on lap 10 saw Foulger make an inside pass for second, but Mallet went inside on the front stretch on lap 11 to get by both Chadwick and Foulger.
