Pulse Racing Innovations, Dirt Defender signed as Northern SportMod Race of Champions sponsors

WAXAHACHIE, Texas (May 9, 2024) – Pulse Racing Innovations is the new title sponsor for the Northern SportMod Race of Champions, providing a portion of the point fund and products to be awarded to drivers qualifying for the 16th annual event during the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

According to owner Billy Vest, each of the 12 qualifiers for the Northern SportMod RoC will receive a Pulse Racing Innovations EZ Tear combo pack.

The patented EZ Tear universal system prevents racers from discarding more than one tear-off at a time. It avoids the accidental removal of the entire tear-off stack. This is a crucial product for every racer.

“I’ve been around racing since I was five years old and there is nothing else like Super Nationals,” said Vest. “There are races around the country that pay more, but with the environment, all the cars, and all the spectators, there isn’t another event like Super Nationals.”

Vest is also co-owner of Dirt Defender Racing Products along with Dennis Bissonnette. The company made a big splash with its IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s debut 11 years ago.

“Dirt Defender really got its start at Super Nationals in 2013. All of the champions had Dirt Defender wheel covers. Pictures of their cars with our covers made the front page of all the racing magazines,” said Vest. “That’s what Super Nationals can do for you.”

In 2023, Dirt Defender had extensive giveaways at the event for their 10-year anniversary. The first company to make universal wheel covers in an array of 15 different colors, Dirt Defender also manufactures many other racing products. Modified, Stock Car and Northern SportMod heat winners at Super Nationals all receive Dirt Defender wheel covers.

Fast Shafts All-Star eligible list adds 12

VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 4, 2023) – Add another dozen Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers to the eligible to qualify list for the upcoming Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Todd Stinehart ruled Salute to Veterans at Kossuth County Speedway and Cody Laney led the way in the Rage Chassis 40 at Fayette County Speedway. Zane DeVilbiss was first in the Fair special at Hancock County while Trey Duensing was the Gage County Fair winner at Beatrice Speedway. Summer Shootout checkers at Barona Speedway flew for Trevor Fitz and Eric Mass topped the .38 Special at Black Hills. Kyle Rohleder raced to a Wheatshocker Nationals win at RPM Speedway while Jason Schueller paced Dubuque’s Julien Dubuque Classic. And Justen Yeager was a double winner at Idaho Falls’ Race to Heal. Five more IMCA Modified drivers eligible for Fast Shafts All-Star qualifying

BOONE, Iowa – Another five IMCA Modified drivers have made themselves eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational with recent feature wins.  Dylan Sillman, Jacob Pirkle and Chris Zogg all topped qualifying weekly events while Curtis Towns and Craig Cassell became eligible with checkered flag runs during the Wild West IMCA Modified Shootout. Drivers winning sanctioned events paying $1,000 or more held through the first weekend of September become eligible to qualify. They must be pre-registered for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s to attempt to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational.  Two rounds of group time trials on Thursday, Sept. 9 determine 28 of the 30 All-Star starters with the top driver in national point standings and the leader in 40-point feature wins attending Super Nationals at Boone Speedway completing the Friday, Sept. 10 grid.
