Cash bonuses, lap money add to Super Nationals purse

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 29, 2023) – IMCA and event sponsors, along with numerous local businesses will contribute close to $8,000 in cash bonuses and lap money over the course of the Sept. 4-9 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

Quick Performance gives $100 bonuses to the winners of three qualifying features for Hobby Stocks, three qualifying features for Northern SportMods and six Stock Car qualifying features.

VIP Medical and Dr. Robert Baker give $100 cash bonuses to the six drivers winning Modified qualifying features and $75 to winners of the six Stock Car qualifying features.

Final qualifiers for both Modified and Northern SportMod main events receive $250 in cash from Saint’s Avenue Café.

Elmquist Towing continues its strong presence at Boone Speedway and Super Nationals, paying $25 to the leader of each of the 30 laps in the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational for Stock Cars and the Fast Shafts All-Star Invita­tional for Modifieds.

One hundred dollars goes to the leader of each of the 12 laps in the Rage Chassis Race of Champi­ons for Modifieds with those lap sponsors including VisionBank, Joe Busch Ag, Saints Avenue Café, IMCA.TV, Ames Ford Lincoln, Marshalltown Speedway and Hy-Vee.

Leading the Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions for Stock Cars pays $50 for each of 12 circuits, courtesy of Weather or Naut Food Services, the Boone County Chamber, MyRacePass, Joe Busch Ag and IMCA.TV.

IMCA.TV pays $50 to the leader each time around the track in the 12-lap Stephenville Starter Hobby Stock Race of Champions. 

Sponsors for the $50 per lap, 12-lap BSB Manufacturing Northern SportMod Race of Champions are VisionBank, Weather or Naut Food Services, MyRacePass, IMCA.TV, Ames Ford Lincoln, Marshalltown Speedway and Hy-Vee.

“The cash awards and lap money given by so many great sponsors are a real boon to drivers throughout the week,” IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm observed. “They continue to be a real complement to the $300,000-plus in purse money and more than $60,000 in contingencies to be awarded at the 2023 Super Nationals.”

All-Star qualifying format announced for IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – Two rounds of group time trials will fill starting fields for both Modified and Stock Car All-Star Invitationals at the Sept. 6-11 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Split draw planned for Super Nationals Modified, Stock, Hobby, SportMod heats 

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 11, 2022) – Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod drivers will again be guaranteed different starting spots in their qualifying heats at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. A computerized split draw system introduced last September will be used for Hobby Stock and SportMod qualifying Monday, Sept. 5 and Tuesday, Sept. 6, and Modifieds and Stock Cars Wednesday, Sept. 7, Thursday, Sept. 8 and Friday, Sept. 9. “This split draw system, managed by MyRacePass, was well received by drivers last year,” noted IMCA President Brett Root. “We want to ensure that every driver has the chance to start in the front half of a heat race and that they don’t start in the back each night they attempt to qualify,” he continued. “Drivers are already pre-registered for the 40th annual Super Nationals from a record 26 states and three Canadian provinces. Sport Compacts added to Sept. 5 Prelude at Boone

BOONE, Iowa – Mach-1 Sport Compact drivers will have another opportunity to race at Iowa’s Action Track before taking their turn on the big stage during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nation­als fueled by Casey’s.  The division has been added to the card for the Saturday, Sept. 5 Wild Rose Casino Prelude at Boone Speedway, running for a top prize of $150 and a minimum of $25 to start. Non-qualifier pay will be $25. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms North­ern SportMods complete the card.  Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at 4 p.m. with racing at 5 p.m.
