OSBORN, Mo. (June 23, 2023) – Tyler Furrell was the Friday night star at US 36 Raceway, recording his career first Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature win.

Furrell and James Beebe got out front at the drop of the green. Justin Raffurty challenged the front pair but neither were shaken and continued to battle up front as the always fast Dillon Raffurty made his march forward.

As the laps wound down, Furrell continued to hold off all challengers and picked up his first-ever feature win with two-time defending national champion Dillon Raffurty a close second.

Beebe showed a lot of speed in a solid third place showing with Michael Raffurty and Justin Raffurty completing the top five.

Big paydays await all divisions at U.S. 36 Raceway this Friday

OSBORN, Mo. – Three points nights remain on the 2020 schedule at US 36 Raceway and this Friday, Sept. 4 is one of the biggest of the season, as all divisions will see an increased payout.  IMCA Modifieds are racing for $1,000 to win and $100 to start their 2021 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars have $500 to win and $100 to start on the line and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods will battle for $400 to win and $70 to start.  All three divisions will run a draw/redraw format.  U.S. 36 Raceway is also working with Bethany Speedway to provide a bonus to any driver who can sweep the weekend. Bethany Speedway is racing Saturday, Sept. 5 and any Modified driver who can win both races will receive a $200 bonus. If a Stock Car driver can sweep the weekend they will receive a $150 bonus and if a SportMod driver can complete the task, they will receive a $125 bonus. Morning thunderstorms force second postponement of Modified Madness

By Jacob Blair OSBORN, Mo. – Due to heavy morning thunderstorms, US 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for Friday, June 21. US 36 Raceway is determined to get Modified Madness presented by St. Joseph Beverage in, and it will be rescheduled for another date to be determined.  Next Friday, June 28 at US 36 Raceway is the Wayne Hicks Memorial SportMod Shootout. Karl Kustoms NorthernSport Mods will have the spotlight as they will also participate in the Shocker Chassis Six Pack Shootout.  The pits will open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands will open at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 and racing begins at 8 p.m.

Joe Crist Memorial is Friday at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – The biggest IMCA Sunoco Stock Car race of the season at US 36 Raceway is this Friday, July 30. The Crist Family and US 36 Raceway present the fifth annual Joe Crist Memorial, which pays $2,062 to win and makes the winning driver eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational. The main event pays a minimum of $125 to start and the longest haul is good for $162, with $62 paid for heat race wins, drawing the no. 62 chip, and hard luck award.  The Crist Memorial is draw/redraw and the $35 pre-registration fee covers the driver’s pit pass. Many prizes will be given away at the drivers, meeting and throughout the night.  Past winners of the event are Jason Estes in 2017, Blake Peeler in 2018, J.J. Baumli in 2019 and Steve Starmer in 2020.
