Rookie Czarneski races to first IMCA Modified win

SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 9, 2023) – Rookie Cole Czarneski raced to his career first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win Friday at Outagamie Speedway.

Czarneski rocketed from his front row starting spot, building a sizable advantage over Marcus Yarie. Midway through the contest Yarie began to close in as Czarneski worked through lapped traffic.

With five laps to go, Yarie made his move down low as Czarneski was locked behind a lapped car. The pass was for naught however as the lone caution flew.

Once in clean air on the restart, Czarneski pulled away for his first feature win in the IMCA Modifieds. Yarie raced with a lot of respect and took second, Wyatt Block was third and Benji LaCrosse rounded out the top five.  

A $1,000 payday awaited the winner of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event.

Nick Buckarma took the opening lap until he slid high, allowing Tyler Wilson to slip by down low. Buckarma dogged the leader the entire way but in the end, it was Wilson grabbing the cash and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star qualifying eligibility.

Buckarma had to settle for second at the pay window, Eric Arneson was third and Jeff Kropp took fourth.  

Corey Kemkes got redemption in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. After having to settle for second last week, Kemkes left nothing to chance, racing from his 14th starting spot and to the lead on lap four.

Kemkes dominated the remainder of the event. Ryan Schmidt was second, Skyler Woods placed third and Dylan Schmidt had his best run of the season to take fourth.  

Brett Deprez was victorious in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts, besting Bailey Tate and early leader Thomas Schulte placed third. Cody Booth completed the top four. The race went green to checkers.

Snellenberger is hot at Outagamie

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 18) – “Hot” Rod Snellenberger secured his first win of the season in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Ronnie Otto paced the opening circuits until Aaron Stolp took over on lap three. Stolp was immediately dogged by Snellenberger. Snellenberger went to work, slipping by Stolp on lap nine. Snellenberger set sail, pulling away from the field for his first win of the season. Stolp had to settle for second, point leader Brandon Czarapata was third, Logan Leary took fourth and Brett Wenzel completed the top five. Jerry Wilinski took the top spot early in the IMCA Modified feature. Wilinski worked the low groove as Tyler Wilson began working through the field. Wilson used the top groove to reel in Wilinski and on lap nine took the lead away. Wilson pulled away to score the win and a clean sweep to boot. Outagamie win goes to Arneson 

By Scott Owen SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 22) – Lance Arneson aced the Sunday feature for IMCA Modifieds at Out­agamie Speedway. Trevor Spaulding vaulted to the early lead before Kyle Kudick and Jamie Schmidt made it a three-wide battle for the lead. Brekken Kleinschmidt passed Schmidt to move to third while Arneson advanced to fourth on the sixth circuit. Kudick, Kleinschmidt, and Arneson fought for second as Spaulding held the point posi­tion.  Arneson had his car pinned to the inside line and pulled even with Spaulding on lap 12, then took the lead the next time around. Arneson never looked back en route to victory. Kudick finished a strong second, with Johnny Whit­man making a late-race charge to third. Jason Czarapata and Wyatt Block completed the top five. Brandon Czarapata led from lap three to the checkers in winning the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main while Kyle Raddant ran in front from just the 18th circuit on in topping the Karl Chevrolet North­ern SportMods. Parker, Czarapata perfect at Outagamie

(Aug. 2) – Although Chase Parker led every lap of the IMCA Modified feature Friday at Outagamie Speedway, the race to the checkers wasn’t easy by any means.  Defending track champion Marcus Yarie worked his way from row four to the runner-up position midway through the contest. With five circuits remaining, Yarie dove inside for the lead but lapped track halted his pursuit and Parker picked up his second win of the season.   Travis Van Straten jumped out as the early leader in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars over Jer­emy Wiitala. The duo ran door-to-door for the top spot until Brandon Czarapata made it three-wide.  Czarapata slipped by down low to take the lead on lap five. The battle for second became lively as Josh Mroczkowski and point leader Eric Arneson began to tussle with Van Straten. Mroczkow­ski secured the runner-up spot with five laps remaining.  Although Mroczkowski closed in late it was Czarapta scoring his second feature win of the sea­son.
