EAGLE, Neb. (June 3, 2023) – Jake Bubak was back to teach his IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car foes a thing or two during the Schools Out For Summer show at Eagle Raceway.

Winner of both the main event and the race of champions at last September’s RaceSaver Nationals, Bubak sprinted back to victory lane in the finale event of the evening Saturday.

Bubak advanced to fourth following an early restart, got past Shayle Bade for third the next time around and advanced to second place on lap nine.

He grabbed the lead with 12 laps left and went on to the win ahead of Brandon Horton and Stuart Snyder.

 “This was just for one night. We’re trying to get Toby Chapman and Jeff Stefonik going a little better,” said Bubak, also the 2020 RaceSaver Nationals king. “They have been struggling all year, so we’re just here to help. We changed a whole bunch this week and still were changing throughout the night and the car ended up pretty dang good by the end of the night.”

“I’ve got some experience in sprints, but Toby has been doing this a lot longer than I have. I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do next week. I think he’s going to feel like it’s a whole different car.”

Dillon Richards won for the fourth time this season at Eagle in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main, Matt Andrews went back-to-back in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Neil Pella picked up his second local IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock win of the year.

Jordan Grabouski topped the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified results after the apparent winner was light on the post-race scales.

Hiatt hauls home opening night hardware, Grabouski gets two Saturday wins at Eagle 

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (April 20-21) – Defending track champion Shane Hiatt raced his way to victory lane on opening night of Eagle Raceway’s Ice Breaker Challenge. Former track champion Jordan Grabouski accomplished the feat twice on night two. Hiatt earned $1,000 and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth along with Friday’s IMCA Modified main event. Grabouski, already on the ballot, was best in Saturday’s $2,000 to win head­liner and pocketed another $500 for winning the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. The leader from the drop of the Friday night green, Hiatt ran ahead of Mike Densberger much of the distance before his challenger pulled into the infield with five circuits left. After a couple late restarts, Hunter Marriott wrestled the second spot from Grabouski. Dylan Smith and Eddie Belec completed the top five. Saturday featured another field filled with heavy hitters as Grabouski had to take the front spot away from Marriott and hold on. Carter collects Eagle IMCA Hobby Stock checkers

By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (July 18) – After he was in and out of the lead, Dave Carter stood in victory lane following Saturday’s IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature at Eagle Raceway. Carter got the front spot for good on the 12th circuit and led Michael Hansen and Tyler Jackson across the stripe.  Jordan Grabouski motored to the front of the IMCA Modified field with five laps to go and paired that victory with a runner-up finish to Jason Danley, who earned the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car victory with a last-lap pass.  Matt Andrews was the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod winner and Tyler Masek topped the Mach-1 Sport Compact main event.  Next weekend is Junior Fan Club Salute, presented by Colby Ridge. All fans 12 and under re­ceive free front gate admission. Front gates open at 5 p.m. with adult admission being $12. Hot laps start at 5:45 with racing at 6:30.

Stock Car win at Eagle is IMCA first for Steinbach

(July 29, 2023) – It was a pretty good week for Marty Steinbach, who became a grandfather for the second time on Thursday and then won his career first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature Saturday evening at Eagle Raceway. With just three laps left, leader Matt Boucher slid high in turn two, allowing Steinbach to pass him on the low side. Nate Thompson followed Steinbach into second as Boucher fell to third. Richards also got by Boucher to take over second place the following circuit. The final change in the top four came on the final lap as Dan Jackson put the no. 3 car into fourth. “It was a very good run. Matt pushed up and I got under him.
