IMCA.TV broadcasts Prelude, 40th annual Super Nationals

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (April 6, 2024) – The winning continued for Ethan Braaksma while Rod Richards saw a dry spell end in Saturday IMCA Frostbuster action at Boone Speedway. Braaksma raced to his sixth Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory of the young season and another $1,000 payday at Iowa’s Action Track. Richards, meanwhile, earned $750 for his first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers since 2019. Also the Thursday Frostbuster winner at Stuart, Braaksma opted for a higher route around after watching the Stock Cars use the lower line in their Saturday feature. That strategy paid off as he’d catch Todd Shute for the runner-up spot seven laps in and then passed pole starter Jerry Flippo on the 10th circuit. “We were able to get out to a decent lead after that. By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (June 3, 2023) – Both Friesen Performance IMCA  Modifieds and IMCA Northern SportMods shed their tops on Dirty 30 Topless Night presented by Capital Sign Company and 1-800-BetsOff Saturday at Boone Speedway. Jeremy Mills came away with the $1,200 win for the Modifieds and it was Cam Reimers taking the $1,000 victory in the Northern SportMod division. Jimmy Gustin shot to the lead from his pole starting spot as the Modified main began. Gustin looked to be well on his way to capturing the win, still leading at lap 20 while several other drivers continued making their way through the pack. Mills was one of those racers, as was last week’s winner Todd Shute, along with Jake McBirnie and Cody Laney, who had worked his way into third from starting 26th. BOONE, Iowa – Jordan Hicks, Dylan Smith, Collin Thirlby, Kelsie Foley, Craig Oakes and David Stremme are the most recent winners of IMCA Modified features paying $1,000 or more and are the latest additions to the list of 164 drivers now eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. If not already pre-registered for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, drivers must complete the early entry process by Friday, Sept. 3 to be eligible for time trial qualifying on Thursday, Sept. 9.  Drivers winning sanctioned events paying $1,000 or more held through the first weekend of September become eligible to qualify. Two drivers from each of the five Modified regions advance from the first round of time trials with another 18 drivers earning at-large berths in round two.
