Point fund checks, IMCA.TV bonuses awarded to Dakota Tour drivers

VINTON, Iowa (July 28, 2022) – Point fund checks totaling $10,000 and another $1,980 in IMCA.TV DCMT bonuses were mailed this week to Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers competing in the July 9-14 Corral Sales IMCA Dakota Classic Tour.

Top 10 drivers in both divisions receive point fund monies from IMCA and Hoosier Race Tire while top three finishing local Modified drivers each night of the tour receive $110 bonuses from IMCA.TV. 

Tom Berry Jr. earned the lion’s share of Modified purses, winning all six features and $12,000 during the week, complementing that amount with a $1,600 share of the $6,500 point fund for that division. 

Second and $1,150 went to Travis Hagen. Third in points paid $850 to Ricky Alvarado, Tanner Black earned $700 for fourth and a third place feature finish during the week gave Eddie Belec the tie breaker nod for fifth and $550. 

2021 tour champion Tim Ward’s best finishes were a pair of fifths and he got $450. Jeff Taylor, Dakota Sproul, Jake McBirnie and Justin O’Brien rounded out the top 10 and each earned $300.

Stock Car champion Trent Grager endorses an $850 point fund check. Runner-up Shelby Williams got $625, Austin Daae $475 for third, Randy Klein $400 for fourth, Dalton Flory $325 for fifth and defending champ Zachary Madrid $225 for sixth. 

Matt Speckman – seventh by virtue of his feature win at Williston – Jason Berg, Jake Nelson and Tim Pessek completed the top 10 in points and got $150.

Drivers in local track point standings receiving IMCA.TV bonuses each night were: 

July 9 at Jamestown Speedway, Kollin Hibdon, John Corell and Scott Gartner.

July 10 at Nodak Speedway, Travis Hagen, Drew Christianson and Brady Bjella. 

July 11 at Williston Basin Speedway, Ed Turnbull, Hagen and Jeremy Sorenson. 

July 12 at Southwest Speedway, Bjella, Travis Tooley and Zach Frederick. 

July 13 at Dacotah Speedway, Hagen, Shawn Strand and Quentin Kinzley.

And July 14, also at Dacotah Speedway, Hagen, Jeremy Keller and Spencer Wilson.
