Performance Bodies awards are new for 31st Harris Clash

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (July 26, 2022) – Four drivers with differing on-track luck at the Aug. 2 Harris Clash will take home $250 awards courtesy of Performance Bodies.

Hard luck drivers in both Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main events receive $250, as do the leader on lap 15 of the Modified main feature and the leader on lap 13 of the Northern SportMod feature. 

“Registrations are up from this time last year,” notes Promoter Bob Harris. “Everything is going as planned, the long-range forecast looks good and we’re excited about racing at Deer Creek Speedway next Tuesday.” 

The 31st annual Harris Clash pays Modifieds $5,000 to win, plus Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, a $500 bonus if their chassis manufacturer is part of the event manufacturers’ cup, and $100 from the TraLo Companies for every position they advance in taking the checkers. 

A minimum of $500 will be paid to start the Modified main event. Wehrs Machine & Racing Products returns as title sponsor of the $1,000 to win race of champions for the division. 

Winner’s share of the Northern SportMod purse has been upped to $2,500.

Drivers can register through MyRacePass. Entry fee is $100 for Modifieds and $75 for Northern SportMods.

Pit gates at Spring Valley will be open all day and officially open at 3 p.m. The draw closes and hot laps start at 6:15 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults and $5 for kids ages 12 and under. Pit passes are $35 for adults, $20 for kids and $5 for five and under.
