Sabin starts IMCA winners’ parade at Stuart Speedway

STUART, Iowa (May 22, 2022) – Kolby Sabin started the parade of IMCA feature winners Sunday evening at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway.

Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts were the first sanctioned division on the speedway with Elijah Hoyt and Mitchell Bunch pacing the field. Hoyt led early with Bunch getting by on lap four. Bunch held the top spot until Sabin cruised by on lap eight. 

Tyler Fiebelkorn followed Sabin into second but couldn’t close the deal as Sabin went on to the win. Fiebelkorn finished second with Bunch third.

Josh Pruitt and Jeremy Gettler brought the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars out with Gettler getting the advantage early on. Cautions on laps nine and 10 were the only thing slowing Gettler down as he led the distance to take the win. Buck Schafroth crossed in second with Pruitt third. 

Blake McCann and Buddy Haidsiak led the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks out to the track with Haidsiak leading the first two times around. Eric Stanton muscled by on lap three and was never seriously challenged as he sailed to the win ahead of Seth Butler and Haidsiak third. 

And in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, Bryan Morris and Mike Dullard on the front row. After a couple of extended cautions, it was Morris out front and looking strong through the first nine laps. 

Izac Mallicoat came to the top spot on lap 10 and looked like he was strong enough to hold off the field, but Brayton Carter had other plans. 

Carter worked high and low and finally was able to take advantage of a lapped car on the 16th circuit to take the lead, one he wouldn’t give back as he took the hard-earned win. Mallicoat finished second with Tyler Inman third.

IMCA Stock Car heavyweights square off at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (June 10) – The drivers running 1-2 in IMCA Sunoco Stock Car career wins ran 1-2 in a battle for the ages Wednesday at Stuart Speedway.  Brad Derry and Shawn Ritter lined up on the front row. Mike Nichols jumped to the lead on lap one and after a couple of cautions looked to cruise to the win, but a caution on lap 17 bunched the field and gave 11th starting Damon Murty a shot.  The top two put on a show over the last two laps and it was Nichols with a couple of strong moves to hang onto the lead and take the win by a half a car length. Murty finished in second with Todd VanEaton, Josh Daniels and Buck Schafroth the rest of the top five.  John Davis and Scott Bash led the IMCA Modified field to the green flag. Dallon Murty brings home bacon with Whole Hog 50 IMCA Stock Car win at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 31) – Dallon Murty brought home the bacon Monday night, with the $5,000 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win at Stuart Speedway’s inaugural Whole Hog 50. The big win carried with it an automatic starting spot in the B & B Chassis All-Star race at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s and came ahead of Johnathon Logue and 10th starting Kelly Shryock.  Sunday qualifying winners Murty and Luke Lemmens led the field to green for their 50-lap main event, with Murty and Lemmens running 1-2 over the first 14 laps.  A caution bunched the field and Logue took advantage to jump into second as Murty continued to lead. Lap 16 saw Jeff Mueller and Chanse Hollatz having a tangle in turn three that led to a light rollover by Todd Reitzler. Reitzler was OK but his night was over. Murty, Schafroth top Whole Hog Qualifier Winners

STUART, Iowa (May 28, 2023) – The third annual Whole Hog 50 sponsored by VanEaton Pork kicked off Sunday at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Winners for the night were Jon Padilla, Ben Kraus, Damon Murty, Buck Schafroth, Tristan Grape, Brayton Carter and Todd Shute. Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites were first to the track for the final night of the three-day swing for the Cornbelt Clash. Jon Padilla led early and often in this one with Josh May stalking him in second. May and Austin Gray had a couple of chances with cautions but Padilla had the line and stayed smooth to take the win. Gray came home second with Justin Kinderknecht third, May faded to fourth and Brandon Freeburg fifth. Padilla took home an extra $1,000 for the Clash points title, May $500 and Kinderknecht $250 to round out the top three.
