Miller makes it three straight at Park Jeff

JEFFERSON, S.D. (May 21, 2022) – David Miller added to his trophy collection Saturday at Park Jefferson International Speedway.

For the third time in the young 2022 campaign, Miller was the victor in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock division.

After capturing heat one to start his night, Miller and Florida native Joel Magee continued their heat battle in the feature. Miller held off Magee for the checkers, as Tyler Smith wound up third

Cody Thompson gained his third Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory during the Stockton Towing’s sponsored night of competition, with Shane DeMey crossing the line in second.

Taylor Brown was a feature winner for the second time in the Mach-1 IMCA Sports Compacts. Jordan Runge was second.

Karl Brewer knocked off Rusty Montagne, who was seeking a third Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature triumph.

Devin Tripp was the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature winner, with Aaron Cain the runner-up.

It’s the ninth annual Memorial Duels Saturday, May 28 with the IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win.

IMCA Racing returns at Open Wheel Nationals

JEFFERSON, S.D. (April 25) – Dirt track racing made its much anticipated return Saturday night at Park Jefferson Speedway’s Open Wheel Nationals. Ricky Thornton Jr. outran a star-filled field, representing nine states, for the $1,000 IMCA Modified feature win. The first sporting event of any kind held in much of the country this spring, the Open Wheel Nationals played out in front of an empty grandstand but with a worldwide audience watching online. Already a Fast Shafts Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot candidate, Thornton made his charge from seventh starting and caught Sean Barrigan for the lead on the sixth of 25 laps. The feature stayed green following a lap three caution and Thornton ran with lapped traffic the last nine times around the oval. He pulled away as a multi-car tussle for second ensued behind him. Triple crown chase starts Saturday at Park Jefferson Speedway’s Memorial Clash

JEFFERSON, S.D. – This Saturday, May 25, Park Jefferson Speedway will host one of the fans’ favorite nights of racing at the Park.  A full night of IMCA racing will be on hand as the Artworks Graphics-sponsored IMCA Modifieds compete in the fourth annual Memorial Clash. A healthy purse of $1,000 to win and $150 to start will greet entrants racing for a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational berth.  Joining them will be a full program of IMCA racing for the J&J Fitting Stock Cars, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and the Fox 620 IMCA Sport Compacts.  There will be no entry fee or number fees charged this weekend at Park Jefferson as many driv­ers will be in the area for racing.  Siouxland’s top drivers in the Artworks Graphics Modifieds will have circled this event as the first race in the prestigious triple crown of IMCA Modified events hosted by the track.   The Memorial Clash will see a draw/redraw format for drivers who will take to the black gumbo of Park Jefferson. IMCA Modifieds chase $5,000 check at Park Jefferson crown jewel Iron Cup

JEFFERSON, S.D. – The eighth annual running of the IMCA Iron Cup at Park Jefferson Speedway is coming on Aug. 9-10. One of the crown jewels of racing in Siouxland, the pursuit for coveted Iron Cups brings very fierce competition to Park Jefferson Speedway. Monday, Aug. 9 will feature the preliminary night of action as IMCA Modifieds run a format that mirrors the Marshalltown Speedway World Nationals. Drivers will compete in a pair of rounds of heat races to lock the top drivers in points into the “A” feature. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will run a complete, separate program featuring draw/redraw IMCA procedures. Tuesday, Aug. 10 will be championship night when the Iron Cups are awarded in all five divisions.
