JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 2) – Park Jefferson Speedway hosted the IMCA Racing Series featuring the Road to the Iron Cup for Z98 IMCA Hobby Stocks on Saturday and when it was all done, it was the familiar 8X of Andy Hoffman standing in the winner’s circle $375 richer.
On a bone dry track, Hoffman came from the third row to roar by front row starters Kevin Bruck and Paul Menard. Rusty Montague was second with Kevin Bruck finishing third.
Chris Abelson finally broke Jay Noteboom’s ownership on victory lane as he came from row three along to take the Artworks Graphics IMCA Modified checkers.
IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car action saw Casey Abbas return to the track and ultimately victory lane. Abbas used his home-built engine to put the 17V in the winner’s circle.
The J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Car feature saw Aaron Cain take the well deserved checkers in a J&J Fitting-sponsored car.
Cody Thompson continues to run away with the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod point battle as he picked up an exciting win starting from the 12th spot.
Andrew Harris once again put the beautiful no. 22 Mach-1 Sport Compact in victory lane after beating David Bates and Derek Boggs.
WAGNER, S.D. (May 6, 2022) – A monumental tour for five IMCA divisions is in the works at three South Dakota speedplants. Opening night Friday, May 13 for the Rushmore State Wide Open Tour is at Wagner Speedway with the Saturday, May 14 show at Park Jefferson Speedway and the Sunday, May 15 finale at The New Raceway Park. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars both race for $1,000 to win, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks both for $400 to win and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts for $200 to win each night. Modified feature winners become eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational while Stock Car winners become eligible to qualify for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. JEFFERSON, S.D. (Aug. 1) – A beautiful blue sky greeted drivers and fans as Park Jefferson driver warmed up for Aug. 7-8 and the Iron Cup with a great fast night of racing at Park Jefferson Speedway on Turner Plumbing Night. In the IMCA Modifieds, it was Chris Mills who took the top spot after a handful of cautions slowed the 20-lap affair. Mills was able to come from mid-pack to run away with the checkers. 2019 champion Bob Moore showed well as he was a strong second and Sean Barragan rushed in straight from a wedding to take third. In the IMCA RaceSaver Sprints, it was Colin Smith returning to the site of two track championships to whip the rest of the field. JEFFERSON, S.D. (Aug. 11) – On a beautiful night in the Siouxland, it was the beautiful white number seven IMCA Modified of Jay Noteboom rolling into victory lane at Park Jefferson Speedway. With his win, Noteboom tied Joe Kosiski at the top of the all-time win list at the Park Jefferson Speedway with 73 total checkers. There was no denying Noteboom, who started sixth, but in just two laps flew by front row starters Jason Schneiders and Harvey Vande Weerd to fly to a lead he would never relinquish. Noteboom opened a huge lead that was up to 8.5 seconds at one point.
