JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 2) – Park Jefferson Speedway hosted the IMCA Racing Series featuring the Road to the Iron Cup for Z98 IMCA Hobby Stocks on Saturday and when it was all done, it was the familiar 8X of Andy Hoffman standing in the winner’s circle $375 richer.
On a bone dry track, Hoffman came from the third row to roar by front row starters Kevin Bruck and Paul Menard. Rusty Montague was second with Kevin Bruck finishing third.
Chris Abelson finally broke Jay Noteboom’s ownership on victory lane as he came from row three along to take the Artworks Graphics IMCA Modified checkers.
IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car action saw Casey Abbas return to the track and ultimately victory lane. Abbas used his home-built engine to put the 17V in the winner’s circle.
The J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Car feature saw Aaron Cain take the well deserved checkers in a J&J Fitting-sponsored car.
Cody Thompson continues to run away with the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod point battle as he picked up an exciting win starting from the 12th spot.
Andrew Harris once again put the beautiful no. 22 Mach-1 Sport Compact in victory lane after beating David Bates and Derek Boggs.

(Jun. 7, 2025) — A new era begins at Park Jefferson International Speedway as the RTI Nationals shifts its spotlight to the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, which headline this year’s program with a lucrative $5,000-to-win and $250-to-start main event on Sunday, June 15. “The RTI Nationals has historically been a SportMod show, and they’re still a big part of the program going for good money,” said Park Jefferson promoter Wayne Becker. “But this year we wanted to try something different and give the Stock Cars a major spotlight. (June 14, 2022) – Park Jefferson Speedway, along with Wayne Becker and Premier Industries, are pleased to announce the first-ever $5,000 to win Heartland Horsepower Nationals for Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods June 20-21. The format will follow the popular Iron Cup format. On Monday, drivers will draw for two complete heat race lineups. Each heat will pay $40 to win. Points will be accumulated and lock the top 10 drivers into the next night’s main event lineup. On Tuesday, twin “B” features line up the next 10 spots on the main event grid before a last-chance qualifier sees all remaining competitors battle for the final four spots in the Premier Industries-sponsored main event.
