IMCA Modifieds chase $2,000 at Winston’s Wild West Shootout

ROTHBURY, Mich. (March 28, 2022) – A top prize the IMCA Modified winner will love is at stake at Winston Speedway’s April 1-2 Player Hater Wild West Shootout. 

The Saturday night feature pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $175 to start with the winner earning Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility as well. Qualifying begins on Friday with last-chance races and the main event on night two. 

Entry fee is $30 for the draw/redraw special. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded; drivers must race on Friday to be eligible to compete Saturday.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m., the grandstand opens at 4 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Friday. Pit passes are $30 and spectator admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and kids ages 6-11 and $5 for ages five and under.

On Saturday, pits open at 2 p.m., the grandstand opens at 3 p.m. and racing is at 4 p.m. Pit passes are $35. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and kids 6-11, and $10 for ages five and under. 

Weekend pit passes are $60 with $30 general admission, $25 for seniors and kids 6-11, and $10 for five and under. 

RACEceivers and transponders are required. Camping is available for $30 per unit.

Winston Speedway hosts another Friday Fast Shafts All-Star qualifier

ROTHBURY, Mich. – A check for $1,000 and a place on the 2021 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot go to the winner of the IMCA Modified main event this Friday night at Winston Speedway. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region, KMJ Performance State and track points will be awarded at the Aug. 28 draw/redraw show. Rush on pit stall sales results from new IMCA Modified sanction at Michigan’s Winston Speedway

ROTHBURY, Mich. – After making the announcement that he’d run IMCA Modifieds beginning in 2020, Winston Speedway promoter Dean Wilkerson had one of the hottest properties in town.  Twenty Friday night dates for the sanctioned division are scheduled this season at the 3/8-mile clay oval in Rothbury.
