LAWTON, Okla. (March 26, 2022) – Tanner Conn took advantage of his pole starting position to lead start-to-finish in Saturday’s AmeriFlex/Oil Capital Racing Series IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature at Lawton Speedway.

Conn outran Jake Martens to become the season’s fifth different winner and pick up his second OCRS career victory.

Sheldon Barksdale earned D & G Contracting hard charger honors with his third place finish. Ross Moran finished in fourth and Whit Gastineau charged from 14th to finish fifth.

Drought ends for Lee with Sunday Oil Capital RaceSaver win at Meeker

(March 7) – It has been a long time in coming for Joe Bob Lee.  One of the most loyal followers of the AmeriFlex/Oil Capital Racing Series for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Lee has spent the past four years traveling to each race on the OCRS schedule from his home in the far southwest Oklahoma town of Cache hoping to pick up a main event win.   Sunday, it finally happened. Five races, five different winners: Shebester takes Oil Capital checkers at Lawton

By John Rittenoure  LAWTON, Okla. (March 27) – Steven Shebester has run his share of laps around the Lawton Speedway. However, Saturday was his first time to race there with the AmeriFlex/Oil Capital Racing Series IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, and it turned out to be a night to remember.  Shebester worked his way from the sixth starting position to win his first career race with the series and become the fifth different winner in as many 2021 races after passing polesitter Whit Gastineau for the win.  Finishing behind Gastineau was 2018 champion Alex Sewell, three-time champion Zach Chappell was fourth and opening weekend winner Joe Bob Lee rounded out the top five. Easum turns luck around with Oil Capital win at Ada

By John Rittenoure  ADA, Okla. (April 9, 2022) – After a couple nights of costly engine failures Terry Easum was more than ready to see things turn around. And that happened Saturday at Oklahoma Sports Park.  Easum drove his Premier Self Storage IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car into the early lead and went the 25-lap distance to win the AmeriFlex/Oil Capital Racing Series main event.  “It has been awhile,” said Easum, who had not won since 2021. “We had some bad luck the past few weeks. I think we got it turned around now.” The tough luck started last month at Lawton.  “We broke a motor,” Easum said. “The block started leaking. Just a freak deal.
