164 IMCA Modified drivers now Fast Shafts All-Star qualifying eligible

BOONE, Iowa – Jordan Hicks, Dylan Smith, Collin Thirlby, Kelsie Foley, Craig Oakes and David Stremme are the most recent winners of IMCA Modified features paying $1,000 or more and are the latest additions to the list of 164 drivers now eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational.

If not already pre-registered for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, drivers must complete the early entry process by Friday, Sept. 3 to be eligible for time trial qualifying on Thursday, Sept. 9. 

Drivers winning sanctioned events paying $1,000 or more held through the first weekend of September become eligible to qualify.

Two drivers from each of the five Modified regions advance from the first round of time trials with another 18 drivers earning at-large berths in round two. The starting field of 30 cars for the $1,000 to win All-Star race on Friday, Sept. 10 will be completed by the top drivers in national points and with the most 40-point feature wins competing at Boone Speedway.Pre-registration is also a requirement to compete in the Sept. 4-5 Prelude at Boone. Both the registration form and pit stall application links are on Super Nationals menus on IMCA and Boone Speedway websites.

Ten new to Fast Shafts All-Star eligibility

VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 1, 2024) – Ten more Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers have put their names on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational eligible list, with feature wins paying $1,000 or more. Tyrone Yazzie and Wyatt Howard were winners at Diamond Mountain Speedway’s Modified Mania. Casey Jo Gemmill collected the $1,000 checkers at Saltcity Racing and Russ Reinwald rocketed to the win at 141 Speedway’s white race. Aaron Turnbull ruled at Dacotah Speedway’s Governor’s Cup, Brandon Schmitt was a winner during Beaver Dam Raceway’s Stock Car Twin 25 and Chris Mills collected the big checkers at Interstate Speedway’s Dave Riley Memorial. Beckendorf, Sample complete Fast Shafts All-Star field

BOONE, Iowa – Brandon Beckendorf and Cory Sample will complete the starting field for the Sept. 7 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Beckendorf and Sample are the top two drivers in both national points and in 40-point feature wins among All-Star drivers not elected in either of two rounds of voting who will compete at the Sept. 3-8 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Beckendorf, from Danube, Minn., is a first-time All-Star. Sample is from Winnemucca, Nev., and will make his career fifth All-Star start. Scott Hogan has been added in place of Ricky Thornton Jr., who will be unable to attend Super Nationals. Hogan, from Vinton, had the next highest vote total for drivers representing the North Central Region and will make his fourth All-Star start. He was runner-up in the 2005 race.

Five added to Fast Shafts All-Star eligible list

VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 24, 2023) – Add another five Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers to the list of those eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Cayden Carter topped the Dale DeFrance Memorial at Marshalltown Speedway and Josh Rogotzke paced Murray County Speedway’s Fair Night show. Benji LaCrosse led the way to the checkers in the “Blue” race at 141 Speedway, Kade Ogle was a weekly winner at Abilene Speedway and Gavyn Manning motored to the Mike Moshier Classic checkers at Bakersfield Speedway.
