Joe Crist Memorial is Friday at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – The biggest IMCA Sunoco Stock Car race of the season at US 36 Raceway is this Friday, July 30.

The Crist Family and US 36 Raceway present the fifth annual Joe Crist Memorial, which pays $2,062 to win and makes the winning driver eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational.

The main event pays a minimum of $125 to start and the longest haul is good for $162, with $62 paid for heat race wins, drawing the no. 62 chip, and hard luck award. 

The Crist Memorial is draw/redraw and the $35 pre-registration fee covers the driver’s pit pass. Many prizes will be given away at the drivers, meeting and throughout the night. 

Past winners of the event are Jason Estes in 2017, Blake Peeler in 2018, J.J. Baumli in 2019 and Steve Starmer in 2020.

Morning thunderstorms force second postponement of Modified Madness

By Jacob Blair OSBORN, Mo. – Due to heavy morning thunderstorms, US 36 Raceway officials have canceled racing for Friday, June 21. US 36 Raceway is determined to get Modified Madness presented by St. Joseph Beverage in, and it will be rescheduled for another date to be determined.  Next Friday, June 28 at US 36 Raceway is the Wayne Hicks Memorial SportMod Shootout. Karl Kustoms NorthernSport Mods will have the spotlight as they will also participate in the Shocker Chassis Six Pack Shootout.  The pits will open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands will open at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 and racing begins at 8 p.m.

US 36 Raceway updates 2019 schedule, announces inaugural Missouri IMCA Nationals

OSBORN, Mo. – An updated 2019 schedule for US 36 Raceway has been posted. Highlighting the update is the addition of the Missouri IMCA Nationals. The Missouri IMCA Nationals will take place Oct. 9-12 and will feature IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods.  More details about this event will be released at a later date.  US 36 Raceway is also making an effort in 2019 to allow each regular division three or four nights off dur­ing the course of the season. Due to that, adjustments have been made for various dates throughout the season. Drivers, teams and fans please review the updated schedule to review what nights which division has off. U.S. 36 cancels Rumble in the Bullring

OSBORN, Mo. – With rain in the forecast for race day on March 29, U.S. 36 Raceway officials have made the decision to cancel the Rumble in the Bullring.  Both IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, running in the Sprint Series of Nebraska opener, and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars were on the Friday program. The opening night for U.S. 36 will now be on April 5 and feature IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.
