IMCA Stocks, Northern SportMods, Hobbies chase big checks at Stuart’s June 15-16 Dirt Duel

STUART, Iowa – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both race for $2,500 to win while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks chase a top $1,500 check at Stuart Speedway’s Tuesday and Wednesday, June 15 and 16 Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel. 

Another $500 in bounty money will be paid to the Stock Car driver winning that feature ahead of Dallon Murty and Damon Murty. The Stock Car winner also becomes eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star race. 

Qualifying races for all three divisions are on the Tuesday card, with the top four from each of those features locked in for Wednesday’s main event. IMCA STARS Mod Lites and Mach-1 Sport Compacts also run on Tuesday, IMCA Modifieds on Wednesday.

Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. with racing to follow each night. Pit passes are $30 or $15 for (non-driving) children ages 6-13. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $5 for students ages 9-16 and free for ages eight and under.

Havens takes last-lap thriller at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (April 24) – Kody Havens’ patience set up the late-race heroics that ended with his Wednesday night Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod victory at Stuart Speedway. Havens joined Brayton Carter in working toward the front and was up to third with two laps left. He made a move past Carter, and with the white flag out he set up a move going into turn three under Tyler Inman for the win. The two cars made contact, but Havens was able to gather it up and made it back to the line first to take the victory. Josh Gilman was the IMCA Modified winner and Buck Schafroth led the last five laps in taking the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers. Corey Madden prevailed in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock main while Denny Berghan Jr. returned to victory lane following the Mach-1 Sport Compact feature.

Braaksma Express rolls on with IMCA Frostbuster win at Stuart

STUART, Iowa (April 4, 2024) – The Ethan Braaksma Express kept on rolling Thursday, opening night of the IMCA Frostbuster Tour at Stuart Speedway. Braaksma raced to his fifth Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win of the season, taking the $1,000 checkers ahead of Dylan Thornton, Dallon Murty, Jerry Flippo and Todd Shute. Four IMCA features each pay $1K at Stuart’s Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel

STUART, Iowa ­(May 10, 2022) – Drivers in four IMCA divisions are in the running for $1,000 top checks during a rare Monday show at Karl Chevrolet Stuart International Speedway.  The May 16 Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods contend in $1,000 to win features.  Modified and Stock Car winners also earn Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, respectively.  Mach-1 Sport Compacts complete the card. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, KMJ Performance State and track points will be awarded. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Pit passes are $30.
